"Then try." Yuuma finished, raising one of his black spears and pointing it at Kentaro's chest.
His heart was filled with anxiety and fear, for he had never experienced this before… realizing that he was going to be killed by a divine being that he didn't even realize would be everything he imagined, since in the anime it was the complete opposite.
The feeling, the weight and the negative aura overflowed from that public square... it was an incomparable evil that not even a demon could fight face to face without planning his next move.
But in the end, Kentaro knew that if he didn't do anything… he would meet the same end as Issei had in his original life, and end up reliving the same moment he had witnessed many times when he watched it on his cell phone.
However, seconds later, Kentaro began to take steps toward Yuuma and gradually increased his speed until he landed his first blow.
His body moved without hesitation, and he was running towards Yuuma without thinking about anything else… just trying to hit her as hard as he could on her miserable body that had once been consumed by evil.
"Play now!" Kentaro shouted as he ran up to Yuuma with both arms in front of his face to fend off the final blow.
Without saying a word, Yuuma throws a black spear toward Kentaro, and he quickly dodges to the right with a sideways jump, surprising his expectations in that fight.
However, even though he was surprised… it was already too late and Yuuma's weapon throw was just a bluff to boost Kentaro's confidence, and he would lose soon after.
"Congratulations on your incredible reflexes, but watch your back." Yuuma said, his voice drifting into Kentaro's mind, causing him sudden confusion.
Just as he was about to use his fist to strike her, the deflected black spear ended up coming back at Kentaro and piercing deeply into his right leg, which prevented him from getting close enough to Yuuma to deliver his blow.
"Ghwaaaaa!" He screamed in agony and pain as he was hit by a spear right in the middle of his right leg, causing blood to gush out of the affected area.
Kentaro ended up falling to the ground in agony, and the spear that had been pierced through his leg… disintegrated like a black powder and a huge hole remained in his skin.
Yuuma, with his wings spread, approached Kentaro, who was already lying on the ground, struggling to get up. After five seconds of effort, he finally managed to support himself with his right fist, slowly rising to his knees like a knight about to pull a sword out of a rock.
"Tcsh…" He mumbled so as not to show his immense pain in front of Yumma, as he refused to taste all the pain he had received from that blow.
"You're stronger than I thought you'd be, for a miserable human like you." She said arrogantly as she held her right hand on Kentaro's head tightly.
She brought her face close to Kentaro's ear and began to sigh slowly to intimidate his lost soul.
"If you want to hate someone, just hate the God who lives in Seiplit." He said his last words while giving an evil smile that his next step was already taken.
Yuuma, who was already five steps away from Kentaro, armed his last spear to finish the boy off once and for all.
"Memories are beautiful things, thank you." She thanked him sarcastically as she laughed and threw her last spear in Kentaro's direction.
Everything around him was slow-moving, the trees that once seemed alive were covered in deep darkness, and the atmosphere and the air completely punched Kentaro's nostrils… clearly showing his last moments in the world.
"Yeah, the memories are really beautiful." Kentaro reflected, his face downcast and his eyes already devoid of color, sunk in sadness and giving up.
He remembered Lingling working with him in joy, the days he drank in the bar with him, the good times he had at his agency before he was fired… and above all, his mother.
Over a memory, a woman stood hugging Kentaro's body, overflowing with the maternal touch he needed most.
"Son, even if you're alone, feeling the densest darkness, the most intense pain or the closest death… know that not all of this is a description of an end." Said Atsuko Ozu, Kentaro's mother, in a loving and motivating tone, hugging her son while he was still small.
He smiled thinking about what she had said, and that he would keep it until his last breath, because every end… there is a new beginning.
However, just as the spear was about to strike Kentaro in the direction of his head, a shield of diabolical magic appeared in front of the boy… and a physical form slowly began to emerge with a strong glow on its body.
"Heh, what a relief to know that this pamphlet was more than just a useless piece of paper." Relieved Kentaro, who was trying to keep up his strength to stay kneeling as he was losing a lot of blood from his body.
"If he was useless, you'd already be dead." A familiar female voice echoed in Kentaro's mind, making him emotional.
"What?! You?!" Yuuma shouted with immeasurable rage, realizing who had defended Kentaro from his death.
On that strong glow that appeared behind the diabolical magic summoned, the person who had defended Kentaro Hyoudou's life… was her, The Crimson-Haired Princess of Ruin and the youngest daughter of the Gremory Clan.
"You picked the wrong time to kill someone, Dear Miss Amano." Warned Rias Gremory who had conjured a defensive ritual that resembled a shield that protected both of them from the spear attack.
Yuuma's expression was one of immense hatred, prevented from causing the death of a wanted boy by the fault of a princess of the Gremory clan.
Even though his eyes were lifeless, he smiled when he saw Rias Gremory in front of him, protecting his body and soul from a fallen angel.
