Chapter 42: John vs. Yamcha

 After Krillin defeated Chaoz, the next match was Goku against Pamput, a particularly famous star, who immediately drew enthusiastic cheers from the female audience upon his arrival.

 They applauded continuously, erupting with great enthusiasm, cheering for Pamput and hoping he could defeat his opponent again.

 Goku looked around in confusion, not understanding why so many people were cheering for his opponent.

 Amidst the cheers from the female spectators, Pamput's desire to perform surged. In the arena, he kept throwing punches to showcase his masculine physique.

 For the sake of viewership, the host did not stop Pamput's showmanship. Finally, amidst the cheers, Pamput delivered a flying kick that knocked down a wall he had just rebuilt.

 His display of strength among ordinary people left the women present in awe.

 After finishing his performance, Pamput said to Goku, "Hey kid, this is a martial arts venue, not a place for you. You should go back and drink milk for a few more years, haha!" He laughed proudly after saying this.

 However, while he was laughing, Master Shen jumped onto the stage from the audience and shouted at Goku, "You little brat! How dare you kill my brother? I will kill you to avenge him!"

 Tien Shinhan and Chaoz saw their master on stage and rushed forward to stop him but were held back by John. John said, "Let Goku and Master Shen handle this themselves; if you go up, it will only complicate things further."

 "Don't worry; if there's any danger later on, I will save Master Shen for your sake."

 With John's promise, Tien Shinhan and Chaoz did not advance further.

 On stage, Pamput was unhappy that someone interrupted his performance. He immediately walked over and yelled, "Hey old man! Do you know who I am? How dare you interrupt my match? Get down!"

 After saying this, Pamput reached out to grab Master Shen's shoulder, intending to throw him off.

 Unexpectedly, Master Shen caught Pamput's hand and threw him off with a swift motion. Pamput fell heavily to the ground and was severely injured and unconscious; he was later taken away by an ambulance.

 Master Shen's actions naturally sparked discontent among all the spectators; they loudly demanded an explanation from the organizers of the martial arts tournament.

 However, how could the tournament organizers dare to say anything? Master Shen was on par with Master Roshi; he was not someone ordinary people could deal with.

 Therefore, they turned their attention to Master Roshi, who was watching from the side.

 Master Roshi reassured them: "It's fine; just watch. My disciple can handle it."

 While the organizers sought help from Master Roshi, on stage, Master Shen and Goku had already begun fighting.

 At this moment, Master Shen was no match for Goku. Within a few moves, Goku sidestepped and knocked him down off the stage.

 "Damn it!" Master Shen covered his pained face in anger. He couldn't understand how a kid could be so strong.

 After thinking this over, he turned his gaze toward his two disciples, Tien Shinhan and Chaoz. He shouted loudly: "Are you two dead? Seeing your master being bullied like this and just standing there?"

 Hearing their master's words, Tien Shinhan hesitated and advised: "Master, I also understand that matter with Uncle. Uncle wanted to kill Goku but was killed in return. Those who kill are often killed themselves; maybe we shouldn't seek revenge?"

 "Are you two rebelling? You are both bastards! I shouldn't have taught you martial arts in the first place."

 After saying this, Master Shen glared at Goku again and said fiercely: "You wait! This matter won't end here; I will definitely come back to eliminate you and avenge my brother."

 After leaving his last threatening words, Master Shen pushed through the crowd of onlookers and walked away.

 Seeing that things were resolved and Pamput could not continue due to his injuries, the host announced that in the fourth match of the quarter-finals, Goku won by default and secured a spot in the final four matches scheduled for tomorrow morning's semi-finals and afternoon's final match.

 The next morning, people eagerly arrived at the arena to claim their spots as the final match was about to take place. This time everyone did not expect that this martial arts tournament would actually become an internal exchange meeting for Master Roshi's school.

 Soon after, the host appeared on stage and shouted: "Dear audience friends! I believe you have been waiting for a long time. We are about to hold the first semi-final match between two competitors from Master Roshi's school: John vs. Yamcha."

 "Let's welcome both contestants with applause!"

 The audience erupted into thunderous applause as John and Yamcha stepped onto the stage amidst their warm welcome.

 "I believe everyone has been looking forward to this moment for a long time; I won't say more nonsense now. I declare that the match begins!"

 As soon as the host finished speaking, a staff member rang a large gong.

 The first semi-final officially began.

 Yamcha looked at John and said: "John, you won't go easy on me, right?"

 John nodded and replied: "Of course not! So bring your full attack; I'm afraid once I start moving, you won't have another chance."

 Hearing John's words, Yamcha immediately assumed an attacking stance and shouted: "New Wolf Fang Fist!"

 After saying this, Yamcha quickly ran towards John. His rushing figure gave an illusion that he was like a wolf sprinting across a grassland.

 Soon Yamcha reached John's side and clasped both hands together like a wolf's mouth grabbing John's arms to restrain him before attacking again.

 "Bang! Bang! Bang!" Several strikes of Yamcha's Wolf Fang Fist hit John's body.

 However, John merely took a few steps back as if completely unaffected.

 Yamcha could only jump back in shock as he stared at John in disbelief—unable to comprehend why his attacks had no effect on him.

 John explained: "The gap in hard power is too great. I can move freely in ten times gravity while you're still struggling in three times gravity."

 "The difference in our physical abilities is simply too large; that's why your attacks don't have much effect on me."

 "Do you have any other tricks? If not, I'm going to make my move."
