Rainbow

Sploosh Splash

The sound of steps stepping on puddles of water. The sound can be calming and nauseating after hearing it for so long.

The world is as normal as ever. Crimes everywhere, nowhere is peaceful. There are some days where it can be peaceful, but can it be everyday? Definitely not.

Sometimes I am tired of this world. I want something big to happen. You know like those novels with zombies. I would like to wonder how this world would react to zombies. A world full of fear. Your life on the line everyday. That would seem... fun. But- I know that would never happen.

I mean I can think of ways of making zombies. One, get one of those plants that turn ants into zombies and experiment on them. But, you know I'm too lazy to do that.

My main point is that this world is boring. Everything is on repeat. Crimes, work, school, even the weather. It doesn't matter whether it is raining or not, or the sunshine is out or not. Everyday is the same.

I was thinking all of this on my way back to my apartment. Rain falling, the sound of people talking, I hear this almost everyday. How long is it going to rain? It has been over a week.

That was then I received a phone call. A string of numbers I don't recognized called me. As soon I picked up I can hear a lady's voice.

"Hello, you have been sued for-"

I hanged up. Really? A spam call. I mean I know why I get them but... really? I wonder why people do this. They can find any job out there but chose to do this. I mean not judging but I would think it would be boring repeating all of this.

As I thought about this I was already at my apartment. I unlocked and and went inside. I then felt a gush of cold air hit my face. Goosebumps started to form on my arms. I ignored it after having this a happen to me multiple times before. I shut the door and locked it, walking to the living room.

My apartment wasn't that big but it was perfect for me. One bedroom, a laundry room, kitchen with a small table, and a living room. Of course there also is a tv.

I start to put my backpack and rain jacket on the couch. That was until I suddenly heard doors opening. Was it my neighbors?

I went outside to take a look and the first thing I saw was people pointing at the sky. I looked to the direction they pointed out and there it stands. A bold rainbow. Usually they would be faded but this one seems to be really colored. The colors were really bold and bright. It was magnificent.

I went back in to take my phone out with me. I took a picture of the rainbow for memories. This kind of reminds me of this planet.

Colorful. Bold. Faded. Disappears. Reappears.
