Pledge to Defend to the End
Collic spoke to Steve in a somewhat condescending tone, saying, "Before the two women escaped, you asked them to go look for outside help to save you. Unfortunately, I was aware of everything. Even if an E-class chariot was driving at its fastest speed, it would still take 60 minutes to travel from the human camp to here."
Collic continued to explain, watching for Steve's reaction. "From the time they left until now, less than 30 minutes have passed. With 30 minutes left before their return, that is more than enough time to kill you!"
Collic then added sarcastically, "It's foolish for you human beings to try to play tricks on us demons!"
Steve's face turned pale after hearing Collic's speech. He did not know that his enemy had been aware of his intention of delaying the time.
