Chapter 40, Foolish or Ignorant

Chinonso's holographic panel appeared before his eyes only for a crack to emerge on it, That crack that emerged on the screen caused Chinonso to groan in pain as if something within him was suddenly broken.

Within seconds, The crack slowly spread and while it spread, So did the pain within the black scorpion, Each crack intensified his pain by several fold!.

From a simple feeling till it turned nerve racking, if not for his persistent effort to hold back a shrill cry the scorpion would've been howling madly in pain from that first crack.

The crack's quickly spread across the entire screen before shattering into countless crystal fragments that dispersed with the wind the next moment, The instant the panel cracked into countless fragments, Chinonso couldn't hold back anymore.

A heart wrenching scream escaped his throat frightening the surrounding night creatures from their sleep.

Although he was a scorpion, he felt as if all his bones where instantly broken and grinded to dust by a ruthless force that continued to wreck havoc within his body!.

With each passing second the pain would intensify to new levels!, For a former 17 year old minor this pain was one he couldn't even begin to describe in words!.

Not to mention Bones snapping and breaking, it felt like all his tendons where continuously being snapped in twine, His carapace being forcefully riped from his flesh, eyes bulging because they felt like a strange force was gouging them out repeatedly without end.

With each passing second not only did the undescribable anguish grow within him but a never before seen resentment was also taking form within the 7 meter scorpion.

His 12 eyes were shedding tears of blood, Fresh blood flowed outwards from the gaps in his carapace.

His eyes also looked bloodshot at the moment, till the point of being mistaken for actual drops of pure crimson blood.

Just because he didn't want to accept such a Demonic Path he was being subjected to such horrendous pain!.

Simply because he was worried about his only remaining family being harmed by them and their supposed system his mind, body and soul were continuously being tortured without mercy!.

Because they saw him as nothing but an insignificant pawn in their eyes they saut to snuff him out‽, Because he dared to disrupt their entertainment he should be killed by them‽.

' Guaahhh!!!' Chinonso couched out an unprecedented amount of blood mixed with piece's of his organs.

With the pain rampaging through his body, mind and soul, The black scorpion didn't even have the needed strength to speak instead he would always cough out several mouthfuls of blood and piece's of entrails with each try.

His eyes soon turned misty with blood red tears streaming down his face without end, The patch of grass around him was soon dyed crimson with his own blood.

**' A-All I ever w-wanted was to b-be of use....., I never asked for anything else...'**

**' I only wanted a better life for them, I only wanted to be a useful brother so why-!!!!! '** The figures of his younger brothers and sisters were currently overlapping with his vision, Their faces filled with joyful expression's were slowly crumbling before him.

**' WHY-?!!!!'** He cried with a grief stricken expression while also bearing the excruciating pain that continuously assaulted him without end.

**' W-Why can't I even have that much!!!'** The black scorpion stared towards the sky, his eyes burning with surging never before seen resentment.

**' Mark my word's-!!!!** He clenched his teeth while clawing at the ground with his two bloodied pincers.

**' If I don't die from this then there's definitely gonna be '**

**HELL TO PAY-!!!!** ' Chinonso's ended his words with a soul shaking proclamation before coughing out even more blood and entrails.

Only after the crystal fragments dispersed did the pain stop growing, yet by now Chinonso had already collapsed onto the ground unconscious.

Water from the lake splashed upwards into the air, From within it a pitch black scaled fearsome looking 5 meters long shark with an incredible build rushed out, However what was the most striking wasn't the sharks build but the fact that he was able to dive into the earth without causing any sound nor quake's.

In almost an instant the Black shark swam towards his older brothers side, While he swam through the earth like a phantom, The only thing visible was his stricking top fin that gave people the impression of a shark swimming close to the surface.

This was definitely one of the two skills Kosi got from his follower, As for why he wasn't suffocating from the lack of water, it had to be noted that Kosi wasn't your average shark but an Evo beast not to mention a black card Evo at that.

Though their figures matched normal beast's, an EVO'S physiology was still different from that of a beast, Although in this case it was far more unbelievable since he was swimming through the earth itself like a fish in a backyard pond!

The instant his brother collapsed, The black scaled shark and crocodile felt as if their once stable connection with him had vanished without a trace.

The instant the black scorpion collapsed, Kosi and Zara rushed to his side's.

"Chinonso!!!"

"Chinonso!!!"

" What happened to Chinonso‽" Zara cried out, Her voice laced with worry and panic.

" How am I supposed to know!, I was watching him just like you!" With no one to explain, The two siblings were completely lost.

They didn't know what to do at all!, All they could do was stare at their older brother with worried and panicked expression's.

Just when they thought thing's couldn't get any worse, The ground beneath them suddenly started trembling, it wasn't long before they saw a disheveled figure far into the dense foliage of trees in the distance.

It was a huge 4 meter black wolf who was desperately fleeing towards their direction with an azure deer on it's back.
