Chapter 34

Ladros took the ball as he went up to the line. Readying himself, he threw ball into the air with the same sadistic smirk on his face as he snacks the ball hard towards Mark.

The ball flew the air at fast speeds but Mark saw it coming. He quickly got into position as the ball came towards him. His body glowed as he used his magic.

The ball smashed into his arms and bounced off into the air. Mark stood his ground as he stared at Ladros who's smile widened even more.

Rachael got underneath the ball and set the ball towards Mark. Ladros went and got ready to block. He stared at Mark who was going to use his right hand but stopped mid way and used his left and smacks the ball.

Ladros sees this but does nothing as the ball hit a giant boulder made of crystal and got directed the floor.

* boom *

The ball crashed onto the ground as it left a crater and bounced high into the air before falling back down.

Mars went up to serve. He took his time as he used a jump floated serve and aimed it at Mark.

Mark got under the ball and set it to Rachael. Rachael ran up to the ball and jumped up towards it.

Ladros saw this and jumped in front of her, still having a sadistic smile on his face. Mars stayed behind Ladros ready to recieve.

Rachael saw this and twisted her body and set the ball back to Mark. Mark was already in the air as the ball came towards him.

Mars saw this and created a giant structure to repel the ball form hitting the floor. He covered the court with crystal platforms that were above the court

Mark saw this and immediatly smashed the ball downwards. The ball broken through the crystal platforms and hit the ground.

Mark took the ball and served straight towards Ladros, after increasing his bodies strength.

* Boom *

A sonic boom occurred as Ladros had already predicted this and absorbed the mana from the surroundings.

He used it to increase his bodies strength to match Mark.

* boom *

The ball made contact with Ladros arms as they were repelled and were bounced upwards towards Mars.

There red marks on Ladros arms from the exchange. He ignored the pain as Mars set him a really high toss.

Grinning statistically he jumped into the air appearing near the ball, pulled his arm back and smacked the ball.

* boom *

Another sonic boom occurred!

The ball travelled at a fast pace towards Mark and Rachael.

* Boom *

The ball made contact with the ground on Ladros and Mars side of the court.

Mars and Ladros stared at the the giant water to be that redirected the ball towards their side.

They looked at Rachael who was smirking at them.

Rachael took the ball and threw it into the air. Gathering her mana in her hand she then smacked the ball as it became covered with water.

* boom *

The ball was launched at an insane speed and headed towards one of the corners.

Ladros noticed and rushed all the way over to the ball and strengthened his arms with most of the mana he absorbed.

The ball hit his arms as the water disappeared. Ladros quickly got up and got into position.

Rachael got ready to block the attack as Mark got ready to receive just in case.

* plonk *

Confused they looked down and saw the ball on their side of the court, rolling across the ground.

They looked up at Mars who headed back to his position.

' A setter dump. ' They both thought as they became annoyed by the play.

Elden watched along with everyone else as the 2 teams went back and forth when playing.

Ladros kept doing what he did nest and just attack the other side over the top attacks and top notch defence as he kept getting the ball into the air.

Mars continued to help by playing the support role. Mainly for setting to Ladros and taking advantage of Ladros as a decoy yo get more points. He also used his magic to get the ball where he wants it to be bit most of the time they end breaking.

Rachael let loose and used her water magic to turn the game around multiple times and save many spikes. Her creativity with her magic was on full display.

Mark stayed behind to give more room and act as the person to save the spikes she couldn't. His increased strength helped a lot with saving spikes especially with Ladros who didn't hold back at all.

Mark was exhausted but he couldn't stop the smile that was on His face as he looked at his oppenent. They were in the same state as him.

Mark threw the ball into the air and did his run for the spike. Gathering mana into his arm he smacked the ball hard as he created blood around the ball as it shot off.

The ball travelled toward the corner of the court but right before it could hit the floor, Ladros arrived as he bumbed the ball into the air.

Ladros quickly got up as Mars got under the ball. Ladros jumped and gathered mana around his fist and condensed it.

Mars set the ball towards Ladros who then punched the ball!

* Booom*

The ball got covered in his mana as it rushed towards Mark. Mark saw this coming as Ladros had aimed at him multiple times during the match.

Quickly using magic, his arms got covers with blood and took the form of armour. The ball reached him and made contact.

Mark stood his ground like all the other times as he bumbed the ball upward. The ball flew into the air as Racahel went under it.

Mars got ready to block her if she took the shot as did Ladros. Rachael waited though as Mark condensed more mana into his armour.

Rachael set the ball to Mark who ran up to spike. Ladros quick as he went into position to block.

Mark saw this coming and immediatly switched to his left to spike the ball towards Mars.

The ball broke the sound barrier as it went towards him. Thinking fast Mars covered his arms with his crystal magic more so than usual.

The ball hit his arms as it flew into the air. Mars started to skid back a few feet from the force behind the spike as his armour broke.

Ladros stayed still as he gathered more mana into himself. Mark and Rachael noticed as they also gathered mana to defend.

However the ball started to fall onto Mars and Ladros side of the court. As the ball fell Mars was already under it as he added mana to his arms.

He set the ball as flew towards the far side of the net, nearing the edge at a fast pace. Mark went there to get ready to receive the ball as Rachael readied her water magic.

Ladros appeared right next to the ball with his arm raised back. All the mana he absorbed was in his arm as he got ready to fire.

Rachael and Mark were on gaurd as Ladros swung his arm and spiked the ball!

* boom *

A dust cloud was created as it sweeper through the area. The ground shook from the force exerted.

As the dust settled, the ball landed on Mark and Rachaels side of the court, only a few inches away from where Ladros hit it.

Ladros hit the ball straight down.

Winners: Ladros and Mars

The volleyball match has ended and honestly it was really fun trying to figure out how to use the magic in this sport.

However I'm not going to do it again since it was really hard to actually come up with things to use.
