Obviously, there were no firearms, cannons, or others aside from cold weapons here. Cold weapons might not be more dominant than bullets, but if used well with your Soul path, they were enough to kill an unawakened soldier in a single slash in combat.
In addition, first-rate cold weapons augmented by the materials such as Commander Class beast claw, fangs, and others has special effect depending on what variation of beast. Sometimes, a single swing could generate a trail of heat, leaving behind a wall of flames, making the bullets useless against the owner of the cold weapon.
