A month earlier: Saintess (2)

Anbu made it sound grandiose, and the nobles' held their chin high with admiring gazes toward the students. But it was broken when one of the latter said:

"Isn't the responsibility too huge? It was one thing for us to get summoned into another world, away from our families and our world, without our consent, yet we have to bear such a heavy responsibility."

When he came to his last statements, he grumbled.

Anbu was stunned and could hardly keep his poker face. Why does it seem like they were Evil ones here, even though he did not summon them? It was the Goddess, but could he blame her, though?

It appeared the Goddess forcefully summoned them, and it gained their dislike of their current situation.

Anbu watched the other students nodding their heads, and a bad feeling arose in his heart.

'This is bad. If I can't persuade them to fight against the demon race, what is the purpose then of summoning them?'

Nobles' were also panicking, and their silence only intensified the awkward atmosphere. A voice that Anbu and the nobles didn't expect to hear echoed.

"Fighting against the Demon Race equaled prestige. If your previous world didn't treat you right, then we will. As long as you have the courage to fight for us," said Louis calmly.

Sadly, Louis failed to account for the actual circumstances of the students from their previous world. How could their world not treat them right when they were almost living like a prince? Their parents were extremely wealthy, and most of them were spoiled by their riches.

The students wanted to argue with him, but staring at that cold gaze and the chilling aura stuck their words in their throats. They gulped and could only decide not to argue with him.

"Don't worry, Captain Louis is right. No matter what your class title with him as your combat instructor, fighting against demons will not be difficult," said Anbu.

Anbu's eyes widened slightly and continued:

"Speaking of class titles, may I know what class you have awakened? I think it will be better if those who have the same class title gather."

Students obeyed, and those who awakened from the Common class to the Mythical class gathered based on the class title they awakened. Perceiving Natalia appearing beside him and realizing they were alone, Michael slightly blushed and acted shy.

Some of them noticed it, but they were already accustomed to it, so they ignored it, but it was different from the nobles and Anbu, though.

But they quickly paid no heed to it since the students finally gathered based on the class title they awakened.

Anbu inquired each group about what class title they awakened, and the result was shocking!

"Two mythical classes… four legendary classes…"

They couldn't believe it, and they were now polite towards them. Surprisingly, their disdaining eyes diminished whenever they looked at the students who awakened the legendary classes, and The Rock was elated by it.

Earlier, he had been pissed off by their disdaining gaze, even though it was covered by their genial smile and noble bearing. But now, they were respectful, appearing to try currying their favor as possible, ending him in a gleeful feeling.

His pride was not shaken again, and he felt exhilaration.

Among his classmates who awakened the legendary class, he was surprised to see a timid girl in his group. If he recalled correctly, she must be the girl who cried and pleaded to the Goddess to return to the Earth.

He didn't know if he should call it lucky, but he was still confident she wouldn't last long in this world if she remained timid and weak.

Sensing his gaze, the timid girl turned her head upward and met the Rock's judgemental gaze. She shrieked lightly, startled, and quickly lowered her head in fear.

The Rock snorted at her reaction and shook his head in disappointment.

"This is good. This is good," mumbled Anbu in a daze.

Perceiving he was acting unruly, he quickly recollected himself, staring at a particular place, but a wall prevented his vision from passing through. He was aware of who was on the other side of the wall, and it was technically not a wall but more like a curtain with a similar appearance to the wall.

He was aware the Emperor was watching this event unfold, and he couldn't help but wonder what reactions he was having.

To be honest, they didn't expect much. Probably, four legendary class Otherworlders were enough to fight the Demon Emperor, and with the help of the Emperor and Louis, a Royal Captain Guard, and other Legendary class humans, it would already be adequate to fight the Demon Emperor.

Although there were still Demon Kings that had the same rank as a Legendary Class, they also had allies that were willing to fight with them.

For instance the High-elves.

Therefore, the prophecy of the advent of the Demon Emperor only brought alarm to the Empire. Of course, citizens were still not aware of it.

However, with two Mythical classes and four legendary classes, not to mention the eight Rare classes, it was more than enough to fight against the Demon Race.

They could even boldly claim to the world that they could conquer the Demon race and their continent.

And they could also take advantage of this chance to tempt the Otherworlders to fight with them. After all, who wouldn't want to become a ruler? A king position should be enough to entice them.

"Can I ask for your Title?"

Anbu asked, still being respectful to those who awakened, even the Common-Class Title. He didn't want to neglect them because others might have a bad impression of them.

He didn't want to risk it.

His actions would reflect on others, even on the Emperor.

All of them answered, starting from Common classes stating their titles until it was the Legendary class group's turn.

"My name is the Rock, and I awakened the Legendary Class Title, the Guardian!" The Rock exclaimed with his chin held high.

Anbu quickly showed amazement, and expectantly, the Rock was satisfied with it. Moving to the next, it was now a timid girl, and Anbu kept his best to smile patiently.

"M-My name is Amelia. It's a pleasure to meet you," stuttered the timid girl.

Anbu replied, "It's a pleasure to meet you too. May I know the Title you awakened?"

"Ah!" The timid girl felt embarrassed and replied with her head lowered. "It's Saintess."

Her voice was hushed and barely audible, but since it was silent, all of them heard it loud and clear.

"Excuse me?" asked a bishop, startled.

Right now, he was wearing a noble robe, so he was not representing the Church of the Goddess Lynx. But then again, his position already conveyed he was here to bear witness to the Goddess summoning and would pass the event to the Pope.

Currently, the Pope couldn't attend such a historical event because he caught a disease.

The timid girl was greatly startled, and tears were already swelling her eyelids. The Rock wanted to smack her, but he held back. Thankfully, Anbu quickly came to aid her.

"Cmon. Don't scare her."
