In life, above all else, the governing principle is power. Those who possess it are destined for greatness, and those not fortunate enough to have it are fated to suffer.
I've known this harsh truth for as long as I can remember. The law of the jungle is true and thorough, and one must be blessed to remain oblivious to it despite the circumstances of human society.
And, regardless of this obvious truth, from an early age, human children are taught the opposite. Schools enforce the idea that morals are truly important, and they indoctrinate millions around the world with the false idea that humans are kind, and moral, and that such a life is whole and true.
Human society has long known only suffering at their own hands, and they have been one step too close to self-destruction too many times. Humanity unknowingly has been in a self-perpetuating cycle of hate. And so, my whole life, it had been my dream to rebel against society, to eliminate the false prophet that is human life. To free the world from the plague, the disease, the cancer, that is humanity, I had dedicated my whole life to warfare.
In my endless pursuit of the destruction of humanity, the full truth. I sought countless means to an end, I searched countless fields for my answers, I became a philosopher, I did the impossible, and I became a true renaissance man despite my existence being one in the modern age of science.
Yet, despite my efforts, I knew that all was futile. I was human, and when you are a lifeform with a finite life cycle the passage of time weighs quite heavily on you. And so.... In the end, I ultimately fell short of my goal. Humanity numbered too many, and I numbered too little. My lifespan had not been able to keep up with my eternal pursuit of knowledge that came consequently to my goal in life.
Lying on my deathbed, I had contemplated my life, and at last, I realized that all is futile in a mere human lifespan.
But despite that... even though my goal may have not been achieved in one lifespan, I did not say it could not be so with an infinite lifespan...
And that was how the story of Isocrates began, and how my story began.
In the beginning, It appeared as though some malevolent God had twisted my reality, when I landed in what vaguely resembled the world of the hunter x hunter manga and anime, 9-90.... 9000 years before the events of the series.
In that time humanity was in its early generations, ripe for destruction. And yet, perhaps by the torment of that same God who gave my goal hope, I had been cursed to never grow stronger while at the same time, I watched the species I despised evolve and rise.
Of course, when I had first been brought into that world, I did not know this. That god gave me hope that required years to realize that it was false.
And so, my story truly begins that first year, when I had landed on the dark continent...

9000 Years before the formation of the known world in lake mobius-
A strange humanoid entity foreign to its surroundings, yet not out of place, slowly woke and arose from within a clearing. The creature seemed confused at first, not fully recovered, and not fully recognizing the situation.
However, the creature seemed to quickly adapt and re-adjust, as it began to investigate its surroundings. Meanwhile, the other lifeforms in its vicinity watched on with curiosity, and while they internally knew the creature was foreign to their world, they gained an interest in its activities that, ironically, seemed native to their home.
Over time, the creatures got closer to the humanoid, becoming accustomed to its presence. The creature gradually accepted their kinship as well, and gradually the creatures that had once been curious yet ever so wary of the creature became more trusting. The creature also adapted to their life to become more like the ones around it, it eventually became indistinguishable from those around it, for this creature displayed the extraordinary ability to evolve.
This process of the humanoid creature evolving and becoming one with the creatures around it took place over several years. So, gradually the creature fully became one with the world, its existence seeming as though it would never have any impact on the world.
The end of the chapter probably feels quite rushed, for this I apologize. When I was writing the chapter, I wasnt quite sure how to close it. However, as the next chapters come out, they should do a better job, specifically with the length and detail of the story, especially as I increase my writing proficiency and get a better grasp on what I wish for the story to be.
