Reaper vs The Kingdom

"Remi, I'm still shocked you became the pillar, I'm proud of you."

As soon as he finished speaking, hundreds of pieces of dark magic, each stronger than my magic, assaulted us. They did not reach far in, but it was as if it would not stop with just a simple cut or slash. I instinctively moved to the side while turning to see how badly he hurt Rayne and Enzo, and while looking, I realized how dire the situation was. Blood seeped from her pale skin. The damage from that simple spell alone would not have been deadly in normal circumstances; however, the type of magic he was using was highly unusual, causing the spell to burn into my wounds and cause intense pain from both internal and external damage.

All she managed to let out was a guttural sound while grasping the injuries she sustained. I sensed the mass amount of negative energy building up within the wounds, preventing healing; I thought she wouldn't survive.

"Sora. Is this what you have truly become?" Reagan popped up out of nowhere.

"Thank you for saving me again, Reagan." Enzo commented. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in a carriage?" Reagan said.

"Let's save that talk for another time; right now, we have other matters." I retorted back.

We both turned towards Sora. Sora stood before the three of us, his bloodied scythe still aimed towards us. Our battle is far from over, but the number of mana arrows he used has dwindled by a significant amount.

"Reagan, your state is shocking. You have lost all your magical abilities, yet you still face me like you can still fight." Sora noted.

"True. True. I no longer have the power, yet I still have the will to fight. All it takes is 5% to land one punch on you." Reagan remarked as he removed his swords that were placed around his waist.

"Ahahaha, this is comedy. This must be your doing. Reagan, don't say I didn't give you a chance." Sora's red eyes glowed an intense shade of blue.

A crack suddenly formed underneath our feet. His Oblivion magic surrounded the entire room.

"Why the fuck is this happening? Just stop already."

"Please stop! I can't keep on fighting with this insane power that he's wielding."

I stood, frustrated by the current situation. He killed the King of the Kingdom, our former master. Enzo and Sora's fights have gotten weaker; it seemed Enzo is suffering a more massive impact from the fight against Sora. He walked to his full potential, and he proved himself more than enough to match Sora.

"Reagan, is this all you're willing to go on? I had you pegged as the type of guy to at least last more than a second." He stated, "Well, it has been fun, Reagan; you won't last for much longer. See you in the next life." He chuckled.

Before Sora could use his ability, he was slashed in the throat and fell to the ground. it was none other than Echo and Arthur.

Echo said, "Well, good job." I nodded to her response, "Where's Rayne? I felt something strange through the bond, but I was unable to go near the place."

"Oh, she's injured; here, take this," Reagan stated. Echo saw the item I handed out and brought it out instantly, without any hesitation or argument.

It was not clear that Rayne was doing great when she saw her condition. She screamed, "Rayne, no, what the hell happened?" Her eyes widened, filled with a lot of emotions. "Yeah, it's going to be a rough few days, but it's all going to be alright. You're going to be alright; just hang on a bit more."

She put her lips close to Raynes' ear, whispering the last few words she would never be able to hear. "Live."

I then walked to my target, no matter what was going on around me or what feelings were rushing through me right now. My instincts kept telling me that if he remained unbound, then we would die in the end.

I didn't need a reason for action. Even in my grief, there was no room left to waver.

"So now the four of you stand united against me," Sora responded, annoyed at the interference the four of them were giving. He clutched his forehead and emitted a great deal of power. Before he knew it, Sora vanished completely.

His actions baffled the group. Why had he chosen to run away? Where could he possibly go that we couldn't follow? The others ran to check on their friend, whom I had thought was dead. Instead, Enzo stood alive and well with cuts, bruises, and marks along his body, while his armor was burned through, scorching his skin, giving him third-degree burns, and he was missing his left arm, covered in his blood as his clothes were torn to shreds.

"Remi, I don't think this should be the time to talk about this, but I thought you gave up trying to be a mage; how are you the pillar?" Enzo asked. I approached and stood in front of Enzo. I examined Enzo's body. After what the three of us just witnessed, my attention would have shifted to Rayne and her status, but Enzo had to speak the absolute worst words one could say in our current position.

With Rayne's injury and the possibility of her dying, Echo said, "Shut your mouths, you two idiots! She could've been bleeding to death. How could you guys talk so casually like that?"

"I'm being ignored now?" Sora said his hand was punctured through Echo's chest as she coughed out blood. As he did, blood splattered into Enzo's mouth.

Echo stared wide-eyed at Sora, unable to understand what just happened as she continued to cough up blood. With the end of his crimson blade, Sora struck Enzo down to his knees. Then Sora smiled, laughing maniacally as his face contorted with malice and lunacy.

Enzo found it amusing that Sora would stand over his defeated comrades and claim a victory. He was prepared to accept whatever punishment his adversary was willing to deal with for him.

"SORA JUST STOP THIS, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US?!" Enzo screamed out.

"It's quite simple, Enzo; all of you let Leo die."

All of us stood there, paralyzed with fear. There was nothing that we could do to stop Sora. His chaos and everything that is consumed by it are unpreventable; there might be nobody in this world who will be able to stand up to him. His destructive potential is a force that nothing can stop, and everyone, including ourselves, will come tumbling down in front of him.

Enzo's body crumbled downward from Sora's strength. The remaining two of us, unable to do anything about his strength, had no choice but to brace for impact. Our only option was to flee for the time being and hope for the best.

"So what's all this commotion about?" A bystander walked towards us. When we looked toward the direction where the voice was coming from, it was the pillar of the Dreaburg Kingdom.
