It's time to forget.

The air was tense as he placed his hand on the ground, and I could feel a chill run down my spine. There was something sinister in the way he looked at me, like a predator eyeing its prey.

"Dominator's touch," he whispered, and suddenly the world around me disappeared, leaving us in an empty void. My heart pounded in my chest as he unsheathed his katana, ready to strike at any moment.

I tried to maintain my composure, but the fear was palpable. This man was not playing around, and I knew I was in deep trouble. I had to fight back, but how?

"You can't kill me," I said, trying to sound confident.

"I know that much. I'll do more than that," he replied, his voice low and menacing. "I need you to forget you ever heard about the oblivion crystal, it ruins my entire plan."

I don't understand what this Oblivion crystal has to do with me? How does it ruin his plan? I shrugged off any curiosities I had and focused at the challenge at hand.

"ABSOLVE: LIGHT ROOTS!" I tried to grab his leg with my roots, but he was too fast. He dodged my attack and closed the space between us.

"I won't let you touch me. LIGHT FLASH!" he yelled, sending a powerful beam of light straight at me.

I managed to dodge it, but just barely. My heart was racing as I tried to come up with a new strategy. That's when I noticed an opportunity to strike.

I infused my hand with light mana and punched him straight through his stomach. But to my surprise, he didn't even flinch.

"This is a pathetic attempt to kill me," he sneered.

I felt a wave of despair wash over me. Was there really no way to defeat him? No matter how hard I tried, he seemed to be one step ahead of me at all times.

Suddenly, he gripped his katana harder and sliced off my arm without a second thought. The pain was excruciating, and I couldn't help but scream in agony.

As I writhed on the ground, I thought to myself, why does this always happen to me? What did I do to deserve this?

He turned around and with that same menacing smirk on his face, he grabbed my face and enchanted "Forget." And just like that, everything went black.

Williams POV:

I was walking down the hallway when I caught a whiff of something unusual. It was a sickeningly sweet scent of iron that filled his nostrils, the unmistakable smell of blood. I knew something was amiss and made a beeline for Sora's room.

"I wish to see Sora," I demanded of the guards stationed outside Sora's door.

"Yes, Headmaster Williams," the guards replied, their faces etched with concern.

As the door creaked open, I braced himself for the worst. What I saw was worse than I could have ever imagined. Sora was slumped against the wall, covered in his own blood. His arm had been hacked off, leaving a gaping wound that was still bleeding profusely.

"SORA WAKE UP!" I shook Sora, but there was no response.

Without thinking, I scooped Sora up in my arms and rushed him to the infirmary. The nurses sprang into action, immediately tending to Sora's injuries. They worked quickly to stop the bleeding, and I watched helplessly as they patched up his wounds.

As I waited for news on Sora's condition, I couldn't help but wonder why Brown would go to such lengths to harm him. What could he possibly want with Sora?

**Sora POV**

Two hours later, I regained consciousness, being confused and disoriented.

"Where am I? Why am I in the infirmary?" I groaned in pain.

"SORA!" Williams was relieved to see me awake.

"Headmaster Williams?" I looked around, still groggy.

"WHO DID THIS TO YOU? WAS IT BROWN?"

My face was contorted in confusion. "I don't remember," I muttered.

Williams was taken aback. Did I manage to forget something important? "Sora... you have no idea who did this to you?" Williams prodded.

My eyes widened. That's when I realized the tragedy that occurred. "Where is my arm? WHY DON'T I HAVE AN ARM WILLIAMS?!"

"It was probably chopped off by the person who attacked you," Williams said grimly.

"Yeah thanks for stating the obvious. I have no idea who did this to me like I said."

"It was Brown, he did this to you," Williams revealed, his voice filled with anger. "It doesn't matter if you know or not. He's the only one after you. I have no idea why he would use memory-altering magic on you to make you forget this encounter. Maybe it's something he said to you."

I slumped back against the pillows, feeling defeated. "Who knows," I muttered.

Williams watched me carefully, feeling helpless as he grappled with the loss of his arm. He couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. As the Headmaster of the school, he was supposed to protect his students, but I can tell that he looks like he failed me. The guilt gnawed at him, and he vowed to make things right.

Leo's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "Sora..."

I looked up to see Leo standing before me. "Leo? What are you doing here?" I asked, my voice hoarse.

"I came to check up on you... it seems you are in worse shape than I thought," he said, concern etched on his face.

"I don't want to hear it," I replied, feeling defeated.

Scarlett's voice interrupted our conversation. "Sora, it's good to see you again," she said, entering the room.

"Scarlett? What are you doing here?" I asked, surprised to see her.

"I'm here to check up on you... I'm sorry I can't do more for you," she said, her voice tinged with sadness.

"Don't worry about it," I replied, trying to hide my own pain.

The truth was, I was devastated by the loss of my arm, and the fact that no one could do anything to fix it only made things worse. But I appreciated their concern and their efforts to help me.

"The good news is, the doctors in this facility are working on creating a bionic arm," Scarlett continued, trying to offer some comfort.

"I'm glad. Thanks for all the help, I think I'll be getting more rest for now," I said, feeling exhausted.

Leo nodded in understanding. "Alright Sora, have a good day," he said, before turning to leave.

"Thanks Leo, I'm glad at least you came to see me," I said, grateful for his visit.

"Anything for you, after all, you are my best friend," he replied with a smile before walking out.

As he left, Remi walked in and sat down next to me. "Hey Sora," she said, looking down at her feet.

"Remi, what's with the downed face, cheer up," I said, trying to lighten the mood.

"You didn't deserve this," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I know, there's nothing I can do about it. Doctors are creating a bionic arm for me anyways so I'll be alright," I said, trying to reassure her.

I wondered if she was just pitying me or if she genuinely cared. Maybe it was because of how I helped her that she felt obligated to be here. But I appreciated her concern nonetheless.

"Anyways Remi, thank you for coming, but I need to get some rest," I said, feeling exhausted.

"Alright, I'll let you go for now," she said, getting up to leave.

I appreciated her concern for me, but I knew I didn't need to be pitied. I was determined to fix this on my own, with the help of the doctors and my own determination.
