Delight Highschool

'I would rather be a little nobody than to be an evil somebody.' The story of a boy who transfers to an elite highschool in Seoul. Junseo could've never imagined how much his life was about to change when he transferred schools. But 'change' doesn't always refer to as positive... "I'm used to it. It doesn't hurt..." "Why don't you just die already! You're just a waste of air." "They will pay for it. And we will make it happen." [Note: I do not own the cover. image source- Pinterest]

15. Hangout with friends

It's Sunday and Jongsuk and Sehun invited me to hang out with them for the weekend since the midterms were over. Upon a long discussion, we settled on going to the arcade.

"Mum", I called out to my mother as we ate breakfast. "My friends and I planned to go to the arcade and might even get lunch together."

"Oh, that's great! It's been so long since you went out with your friends. Are they the ones from last time?", she asked curiously.

"Yep. So... can I?"

"Of course. You didn't have to ask permission for that. Those two seem like good kids. Here, take it and enjoy yourself", she said handing me some money while grinning ear to ear. I couldn't refuse her to see how happy she was to see me adjusting 'well' in the new city.

I changed into a simple navy blue hoodie, blank jeans, and a black bomber jacket just in case it got cold by the evening. Taking my wallet and the money mum gave me. I wore my coffee-shaded sneakers and bid my mum goodbye.

After 30 minutes of walking, I reached our meeting place. I texted Jongsuk and he told me that Sehun and him were in the arcade, so I followed where he had said they were.

Since it was a casual hangout with friends I dressed casually. But now I felt like I was under-dressed. Both Jongsuk and Sehun were covered from head to toe in luxurious brand clothes like Hucci, Neverlane, Fried Perry, and Mouis Vuitton.

"There you are! We have been waiting for forever", Sehun greeted.

"Ah... I'm sorry to keep you guys waiting..."

"Don't mind him, Junseonie. We didn't wait for too long", said Jongsuk, his personality was as cheerful as ever which unconsciously brought a smile to my face.

We played various games and competed against each other. I don't know if it's me who is bad at these games or if they're too good at this.

After playing and joking around for hours, Sehun suggested that we go to a nice restaurant. However, I insisted we go to a convenience store instead. Which they agreed much to my surprise.

In the convenience store, we got some ramen, gimbap, and a few desserts. Sehun being the oldest, paid the bill even though I offered to pay part of it. I got the mildest ramen we had because I couldn't handle spicy food.

"I used to love eating at convenience stores with my friends back in middle school", Jongsuk says with a sigh.

"You used to come here?", I ask, surprised that even rich kids came here.

Sehun explained, "We often come to such places and even the downtown to hang out like normal kids. But some kids think such places aren't meant for people like themselves."

I nodded my head, understanding where he was coming from. Once Jongsuk was done with his ramen, he opened his dessert which was a slice of peanut-chocolate pie.

"Junseo! You need to try this! It's the pure taste of heaven itself~", he said after taking a bite from the pie. His eyes widened and eyebrows raised expressing how good the pie possibly could be for a rich-born such as himself to like it that much.

I shook my head, refusing his offer saying, "Ah, thanks but I don't like peanuts."

"Is that so? I never thought you were a picky eater", Jongsuk pondered and continued eating the pudding.

That was not entirely a lie. I am a picky eater but it's not like I don't like peanuts. It's just because I'm allergic to them.
