Delacruz Petshop: I've Adopted a Rich Daddy

Delaina Delacruz, aka DD the scamming five-year-old, is currently being punished for scamming, tax evasion, theft and was arrested by the Guardians of Heavens’ peace. She was on the run for 127 years before being caught. Because she had offended many high-ranking gods, she was given the max sentence available for the crimes she had committed which is governing a world with no cultivation status, and not getting paid for it. Not getting paid was a big punishment in the heavens. Especially because of how much work it was to raise a realm with no foundation of cultivation. Oh well. She had it coming for her. Shrugging, Delaina pocketed the twenty and skipped around the corner where she found an old lady walking. Tugging on the lady’s shirt, she said, “Grandma, can you give some money to Delaina? Some mean boys just came and took all of Delaina’s money and now she has nothing left to buy food with.” With a small pout from the little girl in front of her, the old lady’s heart instantly melted. She had just come from the grocery store and had some cash in her hand that had just been about to be put away. She stuffed the cash into the small child’s hands and rubbed her head slightly. “Stay safe darling, go and buy yourself something warm to eat for breakfast.” Delaina gave the old woman a big smile before running away and waving behind her, “Thanks, grandma!” The old lady was still smiling by the time the next victim had already been spotted. --- Delaina had been on the run from special government forces for the last 4 years. In the end, they had never been able to find her. Turns out she had hidden herself away, using all her time gambling online, cultivating and she even started a pet shop. Wait... A pet shop?! Yup, that's right. Delacruz Petshop: the only place on Earth where you can buy lions that breathe fire, unicorns, and pigs that can fly. One day, Delaina decided that she wants another pet exclusive to her, but all of her options are so boring! Looking around, she sees a man in a suit. He looks to be in his early 20's. Pointing to him, she says, "I think I'll adopt a daddy!" The cover is not mine. Updates twice a week. Make sure to check out my other novels: -- Overlords: When It All Bleeds Into Ash (Ongoing)

Operation Petshop: Start!

In the end, she rented an apartment for a month, just like before. But everytime that she went out, she would change her looks, height and age.

During this month, she would cultivate through the night, and gamble online all day.

By doing so, she ended up with half a million. A normal person would definitely not be able to earn so much money without arousing suspicion, but Delaina used multiple different gambling sites, using many different accounts at different times.

Even when she was cultivating, at least one of her accounts was gambling, she did this via machines she put together herself.

She would give it a small amount of money and it would slowly work its way up. This way even if she did lose all of it, she would only be making a loss of a few thousand and all the money she had previously made was simply returned to the site. On a good day, she would wake up to an extra 25,000 USD.

With about 5 different bot accounts owned and he herself working the main one, it wasn't so hard to earn that much in only a month.

Sometimes she would bet her entire fortune on a single game, therefore doubling whatever savings she had.

By now, she had enough money to start executing her plans for cultivation of Earth.

Cultivation can become a disastrous thing when introduced to a world suddenly. This is because many people will go hungry with power, or start doing illegal things openly. Others will begin to think that they were invincible, only to be taken down by a gun because they were only at the first realm. Even cultivators at the third realm could be taken down with a single well-positioned bullet.

By now, Delaina was at the 4th Realm of cultivation. She was already a very talented cultivator. Coupled with her 10-element mantra, she was cultivating extremely quickly.

Delaina bought herself an old hotel. It was 4 stories high and was in a rather remote part of the city. Packing all her things away, Delaina moved into her new home.

She unpacked all her things into a room on the second floor, directly combining wood and darkness elements, creating the sub-element poison. Using this, she chose a skill called rot, which she used to rot away some of the walls, connecting her room to 3 others, making it much larger of a space.

Walking up to the 3rd floor, she looked at the stack of boxes in the room. Directly rotting away all the cardboard boxes, she left only the contents of them around. Picking one up, she began to piece them together. After a while, she had about 20 large pens.

Knocking down all of the walls on this floor, she moved the pens around the room. Looking around, she was quite satisfied. After this, she carried 10 of them and went up a floor to do the same thing.

Next, she used her earth magic to open up a pile of bags on the floor, the dirt spilled right out of them. She covered the bottom of one of the pens in it and filled one of the pens with water. She placed a high-intensity light in another pen, but did not turn it on. She did similar things to the other pens.

The water was able to stay in the pen without flowing out because of the runes carved into it.

The runes were of many types but the runes they all had were called [keyed contain] and [barrier].

The [keyed contain] rune made it so anything that is sentient would be unable to exit the pen without a key, which is a green jade that has a rune called [contained key], which was linked to the pen.

The other one, [barrier], stopped inanimate things such as water, dirt and fire from harming anything outside the pens.

Although there were many of both runes, the most common rune was everywhere within the hotel. It was carved into the walls, onto the floor, onto the pens, carved into the animal toys that she had bought. These runes were everywhere.

Because these pens were of average materials quality, she naturally had to strengthen them. She also had a decent amount of basic qi gathering arrays throughout the hotel so that she wouldn't have to use her own qi to power them, and could use those instead.

After doing all of this, she went to a nearby breeding house, purchasing 20 different cats and 20 different dogs. She chose them all by having them touch this ball that was filled with swirling fog.

This thing was created after a week of condensing qi into a sphere and carving an array on it.

If you touch the ball, it will shine the color of an element that you have a natural affinity to.

A natural affinity to water does not mean that you cannot cultivate fire. It simply means that you will have an easier time comprehending and executing things with the water element then you would fire.

The person who was walking her around the breeding house looked at her like she was insane. She didn't look to see if the animal was cute, fluffy, or even healthy like a normal person would.

She simply walked up to it and pressed the ball onto it. After it glowed a certain color, she would either walk away or say 'i'll take it', and then move onto the next one.

Whatever, the customer is always right anyways.

After picking the animals, she packed them all into a moving truck and drove it back to the hotel. She had also stocked up on animal food from the breeding house.

Bringing all the cats and dogs inside, she left the dogs on the first floor and brought the cats up with her to the second.

She picked one up, it was a fluffy and a white color.

Pressing the foggy sphere onto it, it lit up dark blue, so she grabbed a dark blue collar. Placing it around its neck, she put it onto one of the platforms in the water pen. The cat could jump into the water if it wanted to, or it could stay up on the dry platform.

The water and air were both heated, so she wasn't worried about the cat getting cold if it did.

Next up was an orange and white colored kitten, it had blue eyes and was exceptionally adorable. Touching it with the orb, it turned purple. A purple collar was placed on it while it was set within the lightning pen.

There was nothing physical that she could put into this pan so she instead carved a rune that would gather the lightning element quickly. The negative of this was that it would prevent any other elements from entering the pen, but it didn't really matter because all she needed there was the lightning element.

She continued doing the same to the rest of the cats, before doing the same with the dogs on the next floor.

Next up, she took 10 large barrels into the hotel. She used the element of fire to burn a hole in the metal barrels, then used her metal affinity to make a spout.

The floor had many strengthening runes. Each barrel had its own qi gathering rune and 3 different runes that would gather a particular element into the barrel. Colored pipes went from the top of the barrell and through the floor. If you went to the second floor, you would notice an array of colorful pipes against the wall, they each had their own faucets and went through the ceiling. You could see the same thing on the third floor.

The purpose of this was so the water each animal drank would have more elements then average water. This could help them with cultivating their element faster.

It would take a few days for the water to gain denser elements so they would be stuck with normal water for now.

Next up, she went outside and planted a bunch of medicinal herbs she had bought. They were still alive because they were specially sold that way.

She took them outside and set them on a platform which she had taken over 5 hours to inscribe a medium-quality qi gathering array. An array of this type is made by using 40 different low-quality qi gathering runes in the same area.

Then you would have to connect them together by following a special path with your qi. It took a long time to do and people who could inscribe them made lots of money back on the heavens. Not that low or medium quality could make you more than a few bucks.

She placed the herbs on top of the platform that was covered in dirt. She had also done a few rapid growth runes on there.

Looking around, Delaina was satisfied, and decided to feed the newly purchased animals.

She would let them live as normal house pets for three days. They would have surely gotten used to their new environment by then.

After that, she was going to use the forced awaking array that was inscribed under each of the pens. When that happens, she would own 40 awakened animals, 4 per element.
