Adoption And Pre-Action

"Dear... should we directly report him to Lord? he told us he will do us one favor because we fed him once... he is very generous."

At the words of the woman, the man just grinned slowly getting up "I really wanted to use that favor to keep us safe but I can't deal with this humiliation... I will go and report this person to him saying he kidnapped our nephew. Let's see if he is still arrogant when he saw the power of lord!"

Meanwhile, in the room, Alexander booked for himself, he was taking care of Kevin with gentle touch like a mother.

"Kiddo..." He sighed and get up from the floor walking towards the chair there to sit and likely sleep if possible.

He put his legs up on a table as he tried to sleep on the chair and this time he suddenly fall asleep.

After around 5 hours he opened his eyes again waking up as he felt someone messing with his cheek.

"Good morning mister!"

Kevin said sitting on his lap while smiling brightly and pulling his cheek which just made him laugh a little.

"You little brat..." He stopped laughing and pats his head "Feeling better now?"

He nodded hugging him "Thank you, mister... I really feel very bad when they hurt me..." He looked up at him "Now I need to go so I can get more customers!" He tried to get up but his hand was grabbed by Alexander.

"No. I have decided you will stay with me." He pulls his cheek.

"No... mister, I can't... I am bad luck and I must not stay with nice people or they will die." He looked down with a bit of tear in his eyes.

"What?" He lifts his chin wipe wiping his eyes "Who told you such things? you literally are the cutest thing that exists in this cruel world."

He shakes his head in no quickly "No mister!" He grabs his hand trying to get away from his grip "When I was born I ended up killing my mother and my dad died saving me! I am bad luck!"

Hearing that he flinched a little but he quickly pulled his head down to his chest hugging him.

The kid began to cry quietly and slowly it turned into loud crying and the loud crying slowly turned into sobbing.

He just pats the back of his head gently with care "Cry as much as you want... I am here for you..." These words just came out of his mouth. He was not sure if it was comforting words or not but he feels like they should be.

After a few minutes he finally calmed down but he kept hugging him and so he kept patting his head.

"Kiddo so tell me wanna be with me?"

After a gap of a few seconds, he gave his answer in a slight nod.

"Great... then from now on I am your b-"

Before he could finish suddenly he was cut off by him which made him sigh since he really hates everyone cutting him from the middle.

"Dad. You are my dad, right?" He looked up in his eyes like a puppy.

He shivers a little as he heard that. He wanted to deny but the way he was looking at him made him sigh and just nodded.

"Y-yes I am your dad..."

"Dad!" He said excitedly hugging him again "I love you, dad!"

He sighed again and smiled patting his head "I love you too, son. Now let's go and ea-"

Once again he was interrupted by none other than the system.

Hearing that he just nodded excitedly "Your request is my command daddy!" He giggled before clicking something on the air.

After him, he also clicked on the yes button and the screen disappeared before another screen appeared before him.

"I see... now disappear." He made the window disappear and then lifted Kevin into his arms while smiling, "My cute son shall we now eat something? your father is hungry."

He nodded and excitedly said, "Alright! let's go!"

He pats his head and walked out with him and went down to the dining area. As he took a seat there suddenly Kevin realized this was the same inn! He suddenly starts to shake and tremble in fear.

"D-dad... let's leave... t-they might hurt you." He didn't care about himself and only cared about Alexander. He was used to getting hit but he dont wants anybody to get hurt due to him or his actions.

"Kiddo..." He sighed and pats his head slowly pulling him into a tight hug while making sure he doesn't crush him into the hug "No one can hurt me."

The feeling of his warm hug made Kevin give up and just lean into him feeling protected and safe in his arms.

"Calmed down now?"

At the response, he just gave him a slight nod and hugged him tighter.

As they were enjoying their time alone and making their father-son bond stronger suddenly multiple people dressed up as a guard walked inside the inn and surrounded them.

"High ranking official and the Deity Of War, Alexander Lawrence! let go of the kid and follow us quietly if you dont want us to use force!"

One of the guards said as he pointed his sword towards Alexander and followed by him everyone pointed their weapons at him.

"Um-? What?"

That's all he replied looking at them with very uninterested eyes.
