after a long day of gathering and processing materials it was finally time to sleep. I fed Elizabeth some dinner and checked on the Cubs. I need to get them used to me so that they'll follow orders when they're grown.
I decided to cut up one of the lesser beast blood fruits and feed a small piece to each of the Cubs. I'm not sure but it may have a more powerful effect on younger animals.
I have to wait and see hopefully they can evolve as well before they're grown. I'll need to send Elizabeth out tomorrow in order for her to gain some levels.
since she doesn't have my 10 times exp boost it'll take quite some time for her to get to level 10. I'll have her practice Earth magic constantly, so that even if she is low level her proficiency will be very high
it seems that each magic skill will contain every other skill you learn in that respective magic. I gained an earth magic skill when I imbued my pickaxe with Earth mana.
but it seems it's still counts as Earth magic and will add skill XP to that. it makes it much more convenient so now no matter how many spells I learned the laws stay under the respective magic.
anyway now it was time to finally start reinforcing the base. I decided to start with a large wall stretching far ahead of the cave entrance.
I needed to make sure there was a decent amount of room behind the Walls for the materials that I would later gather and plant there.
I decided to make the wall fairly basic otherwise it would take days to make a strong wall. I stretched out a few acres and a half circle in front of the cave.
I was in very hilly region and thankfully the den stretch into the side of one of the hills. it took nearly 4 hours to finish the rough wall. now I decided to focus on the entrance to the cave.
I decided to completely seal the entrance except for a doorway and some small airways.the door was fairly basic and I used the metal for the hinges and lock.
as long as the door wasn't locked you could walk in or out and the doors are able to swing both ways. that took another few hours. after that I decided to build some basic furniture in the cave.
I built a better nest for the Cubs and decided to use some of the rock wolf and rabbit hides I had collected.
I made myself a bed as well and then a table as well as some chairs. after that I decided to go back and find the lesser beast blood fruit tree.
I managed to find it and there didn't seem to be a new guardian yet. most likely because the fruit hadn't regrown and ripened.
this would most likely take me the rest of the day as I had to uproot the tree carefully not to damage it and then drag it all the way back to the cave.
I decided my best bet would be to try to float the Earth that the roots were in. I got rid of most of the dirt around the roots though and only have enough to be able to float the tree.
it was still incredibly taxing to move I had to take breaks every 5 minutes. thankfully for those 5 minutes I managed to achieve a regular walking pace.
it took about 6 hours to get the tree back to the cave. I decided to plant the tree near the entrance. I managed to plant the tree fairly simply. however now I need to make sure there was a decent water source.
there was a river a few miles from the cave it's where I've been in my water. I decided to dig a small stream into my walled area and build a relatively large pond.
this is also a relatively heavy undertaking but thankfully since it only involves shaping the dirt it only took about 4 hours. it only took that long because I had to shape the pond.
digging the stream only took about 30 minutes. in order to shape the pond I decided to harden the dirt and compress it as I went.
the pond should be able to hold fairly strong aquatic creatures I decide to throw into it. the pond was over 20 ft deep.
once it was done I went back to where the river was and finished the rest of the stream and let the water flow.
should take roughly the entire night to fill the pond.
once upon was at a decent fill level I went to a few smaller ponds nearby.
I grabbed some aquatic plants and large balls of algae using water magic. I also grabbed quite a few varieties of aquatic creatures.
I had fish, small shrimps, and small aquatic snails, and many other small necessary aquatic Life in order for the pond to be able to actually sustain life.
by adding all this I should be able to kick-start the ecosystem of the pond. although I won't know if it truly holds for at least a few days.
how about that pain was out of the way I decided to finally take a real good look at the tree. I want to see if I'd be able to enhance it.
I don't believe plants have the same leveling system as animals because they don't have the same type of consciousness.
of course I'm sure there are exceptions but I decided to use medicine to see the type of mana flowing around the tree.
it seemed to be mostly pure and nature mana. however I'm sure just pumping man into it won't really do anything. in fact it may actually hurt the tree because if it works it'll suck all the nutrients around it away.
I grabbed a bunch of the meat from my personal dimension I threw it onto the trees roots. thanks to using my skill create servant I managed to pick up a few new types of magic.
I managed to pick up death and dark magic. after about 10 minutes of trying I managed to pick up nature magic.
after that I had everything I needed for my experiment. first I used a nature magic spell I picked up. the spell is decay which is different than the death or dark magic decay.
the nature version of decay stimulates the natural phenomenon of microorganisms that cause decay. it's basically a rapid process of what usually takes months.
the death magic version of decay simply wipes out all life and leaves nothing. I used the nature magic decay on the meat I left around the roots.
I also used Earth magic to make the ground churn it took half my mana but I managed to make the meat turn into decent fertilizer.
after that I decided to finally imbue the tree with my magic. as I was going the tree actually did start to grow however it started to rapidly drain the nutrients from the ground.
I noticed something was wrong when the ground actually started to crack it was sucking all the moisture from it. I had to use water magic and redirect all the water from the string straight to the trees roots.
it absorbed practically everything, I decided to keep going until I ran out of mana. it absorbed nearly all the fertilizer by the time I was done.
however the results were spectacular, it seems just one session was enough for to nearly double in size. it also managed to grow and ripen over 100 fruits, although the whole process took about 2 hours of non-stop focus.
it seems if I do this every once in awhile it shouldn't adversely affect the tree. the tree's name was still the same it was still a lesser beast blood fruit tree.
hopefully after a few more sessions it'll just become beast blood fruit tree and raise its level. I plan to keep this tree with me even when I move.
once my personal dimension is able to actually hold life it'll be one of the first things I transplant there.
