Chapter 4

~Time Skip July 31 1987~

Well today is my 11th birthday, I notice I look more and more like my mother everyday except hair is black like my father. I still haven't gotten a Hogwarts letter I'm starting to worry! I remember Harry got his before his birthday, and I just realized we have the same birthday…

I'm currently on me way to Ms. Benns office with jax following in the shadows. I don't know what I'm being accused of this time but Allison always makes it big on my birthday so I spend the whole day in the detention room. When I get their I hear a male voice, "Yes the tuition has been taken care of Ms. Snape has a full scholarship." I pause an smile than knock on the door.

"Come in Ms. Snape." Said Ms. Banns, and I open the door and inside was Ms. Banns at her desk and sitting in front of her desk was two men. The first man was a tall and thin, with silver hair and beard so long that it could be tucked into his belt. He had a very long and crooked nose, that looked as if it had been broken at least twice. His eyes were brilliant, soul-piercing shade of blue, that twinkled with kindness and mischief. He was smiling at me.

The other man was also staring at me but with wide eye shock, he was a thin man with sallow skin, a large, hooked nose and yellow, uneven teeth. He had shoulder-length, greasy black hair which framed his face in curtains, curling lips and dark, penetrating eyes that resembled tunnels. I froze and unknown to me my mind shields fell and stared back *OMG it's Albus Dumbledore and my… Father...* As if hearing that he snapped out of it and looked at Dumbledore seeming to have a silent conversation, then I realized what happened.

"Ms. Snape shut the door and sit down! This is Mr. Dumbledore, an Mr. … Snape..." Ms. Banns said sharply. I pause before saying "Yes ma'am." and shut the door and sat on the charge against the wall. "Good now these to men claim to work at a school I've never heard of! Hog," I interrupted her "Hogwarts yes my mother went their!" she sneers at me "And just how do you known that she dropped you off here when you where a day old!"

"Well I did some research and found out she put her name on my birth certificate as well as my father's…" I glance at Severus an back to Ms. Banns an she goes stiff, "I also found out what school she attended. Just out of curiosity you known not trying to find her or any thing, after all she didn't want me…" I scratch the back of my head and I feel jax rub my lag.

"What were your parents names Ms. Snape?" Dumbledore asks with a kind smile and I glare at him *Like you don't known old man* Ms. Banns says "I don't see how this matters they both didn't want her. Let's get back to business!" ignoring her I say, "Lily J. Evans and Severus T. Snape" The whole room freezes.

"How?" my father asks *I'm real tempted to say "well when a mommy an a daddy really like each other they...."* but I stay silent. "Well let's get back to the task at hand first and handle that issue in a moment!" Dumbledore, "Ms. Snape you've been accepted to Hogwarts." He hands me the letter and I read it.

Dear Ms. Snape,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

UNIFORM

First-year students will require:

1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)

2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear

3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)

4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)

Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.

I look up and smile then look at Ms. Banns and frown and put my letter in my pocket. She looks upset. "Let me see that Ms. Snape." thankfully Dumbledore stepped in "Not to worry Ms. Banns, Professor Snape will be accompanying Ms. Snape to get her school supplies like I said it will be paid for in full by us!"

"You can't honestly expected me to let and unknown man take a young lady shopping unaccompanied, you must think me daft!" She replied, but I step in, "Oh so now you care about me well being! Not last week when I was pushed down stairs by Ally and her minions! No you tossed me in the detention room for knocking one of the younger girls down with me, she fell down 3 stairs, I fell down 27! But it was MY fault! Or all they other things over the years, LIKE THE ZOO! No you want to get in the way of something good finally happening to me!" I stand "I'm so done with being a doormat!" I look at the two men "I'll be by the door!" and walk out.

Standing by the door I compose myself and put my mind shields up. My father and Dumbledore walk up to me an I say, "I apologize for my outburst, it was unladylike. There's only so much one can take be they exploded."

"Not a worry Ms. Snape, as teachers we both understand the fiery spirit of youth!" Dumbledore says with a twinkle in his eye. (This line reminded me of Guy from Naruto! HAHA) "Alright Severus I'll leave the rest to you." and with that me and my father are alone.
