Visit to zoo

Chapter 3

All the girls in my room are between the ages of five and seven, their is 8 of us total. We walk down the hall to the stairs where the dining room is it's fairly large. *Another day in hell* Although today everyone between the ages of five and ten are going to the zoo hell seems to follow me around...

Just as I sit down with my food, my number one bully walks in. Her name is Allison Mayson. I'm not sure why she picks on me the most, but no one stops her and Ms. Banns ignores everything involving me unless it's to put me in the detention room… The other Lady's of the orphanage pretends I don't exist, I don't understand why. I've not had much accidental magic because of my meditating.

And doesn't matter to me Only real annoyance in life is with is when Allison gets real vindictive… **

No such luck of course, as if sensing my thought she looks me right in the eye and smiles vindictively. After her and her two minions get their food she walks right behind me an pours her milk down my back, "Morning freak! Ops sorry I thought you were the trash, your so similar!" she and her minions, the Sander twins Jenny and Penny, laugh at her lame jokes I sigh,I stands up and came eye to eye with her .Seeing me like this she is scared and I can feel it .but before I could say something sound of footsteps was heard and Ms. Banns walks in "Okay girls time to leave."

"Excuse me, Ms. Banns, may I go change first please?" I ask politely, "Absolutely not we are not waiting on you, the other children are all ready to go, now on the bus everyone!" she says sharply, "But Ms. Banns," I start but she interrupts, "On the bus Ms. Snape do not make me repeat myself or you will spend our field trip in the detention room!" I shut my mouth because this is the one day of the year we get to have a field trip and I missed last years trip because Allison blamed me for pushing another girl down the stairs. Not to mention that every time I got to the detention room I leave hours later hungry and with a bruised bum…

As I am walking down the hallway of the bus to find a seat I don't notice Allison behind me until I find myself on the floor an her standing on my back kicking me in the back of the head once before moving on both jenny and penny walk on top of me to like I'm a rug on the floor. I hurt but that's normal so I start to get up, "Ms. Snape get off the floor right now you are blocking the way for the rest of the children!" I hear Ms. Banns say. I find a seat away from ally and her minions and the bus is off.

My shirt is dry by the time we get to the zoo… As i'm jetting off the last step Ms. Banns is right their and she asks "Ms. Snape why do you smell like spoiled milk?" I sigh, "Because Ms. Banns like I was trying to till you before we left milk was spilled on me and I needed to change.." *No point in saying it was Allison, she won't believe it was on purpose, and Allison will just punish me for it later.* I can hear them giggling, Ms. Banns says "You stupid klutzy girl, now you much smell like that for the rest on the day! Stand in the back of the groups so the rest of us don't have to smell you!"

In the back of the group the day passes fairly fast but I known the peacefulness will not last, and I was right. I spot Ally an the twins looking at me and walking toward me. I look around and notice Ms. Banns on the other side of the panther exhibit… *Lovely just lovely* Ally stand right next to me an peers down at the panther and says "Look Selina, the zoo keeper said her name was Maya an it is almost her feeding time! She must me hungry right girls?" she looks at me with a creepy smile an grabs me by the back of my shirt and punches me in the stomach and the she and her minions lift me up an toss me into to panthers pin.

I land hard and don't move for a minute till I hear "MS. SNAPE!!! WHAT IN THE HEAVEN'S NAME ARE YOU DOING!!!" and some children scream so i look up and the panther Maya is 10 feet from me looking at me… She crouches but just before she pounces a growl was heard and we both look to our left and see a golden eyed, silky black leopard, with beautiful gold spots and short silky hair like mane. We catch each other's eyes *Is that the Nu'wan? So it wasn't a dream!* I think and hear a male voice in my head *No my sister, and I am here to help you!* Just than he jumps down between me and Maya and turns to her. "Don't kill her she's just hungry and trapped like you were… well not like you were she is treated much better than you but still…" I whisper and notice a zoo keeper open a door behind me and I stand slowly, Maya growls and takes a step towards me, but the nu'wam growls and Maya senses how dangerous the knew comer is an runs to the opposite side of the pin.

I than walk up to the nu'wam and kneel, look into his eyes, *Do you have a name?* I hold out my hand everyone gasps, "Little ms come here quick we don't know what that creature is!" the keeper behind me says but I ignore him. *Not yet sister, will you name me?* He puts his head in my hand and I pet him. *Hmm how about jax I smile and think to him *Ok you must disappear don't let them catch you! If you can find me tonight and can you make yourself small like a house cat?* He nods and runs an jumps out the pin an people scream!

I don't know what happens because I can't see so I leave thru the door with the keeper an he takes me to an ambulance that showed up and they treat my wounds apparently I have a fractured elbow! They say I didn't notice because of the Adrenalin.

After I get a arm wrap and sling Ms. Banns takes us all home. When we get the the orphanage Ms. Banns YELLS at me and puts me in the detention room for the whole night… No dinner of course. The detention room has one window with bars, a bench and a chalk bored. I walked over to the window, an look out.

I see Jax sitting outside on a tree branch *That was fast Jax* He jump to the window an shrank himself to fit between the bars than resized him to a house cat size. I sit on the bench and jin jumps in my lap so I pet him. "Wish you could make yourself invisible..." and just then he vanished but I could still feel his weight on my lap! "Wow Jax you're amazing!"
