Chapter 18: Graduation & Off To College...

2 years have passed since I got my car and license and its time for graduation. It's that time where you move out and go off into the real world. well not really I suppose college is really just the same thing as high school but instead of living at home you live at a dorm and eat crappy food. When it comes to which college I will be going to I did get accepted into Lander. I sent out videos of me using my powers to all of the htcp schools just in case I didn't get accepted into lander but that kind of backfired.

What I mean by that is that instead of the schools just sending an acceptance letter and welcoming me all of the deans showed up to my house to try to recruit me. It was really an awkward affair since all of them showed up on the same day, around the same time so I had to sit through a dinner of all of the deans trying to one-up each other and sell there school. In the end, I still chose Lander because it is where my parents went to school and for some reason, I have a feeling that's why I chose this world. The problem is I can't remember why I wanted to go there. *shrug* I'm sure ill figure it out at some point.

But back to the topic at hand. I'm currently standing in line waiting for the principal to call my name so I can walk across the stage to get my diploma. I didn't want to walk since I did it in my last life but my mom insisted stating that since I took away Prom from her that I will walk no matter what. And what mom wants, mom gets. So here I am waiting for my full name to be called. Yes, my full name, even my middle name. I have avoided ever telling anyone at school what my middle name is but here we go. At least I won't have to see them again. So that's a positive.

As the person in front of me crosses the stage the principal looks at me and says into the microphone so everyone can hear him clearly.

"David Danger Braveheart"

The entire stadium is quite. Except for one man. My father. Who decided at this moment to be the proudest parent to have ever lived for both his son and his naming since.

*cheer* "WOOOOOO! DANGER! DANGER! DANGER! WOOOO THAT'S MY BOY! I GAVE HIM THAT MIDDLE NAME! WOOOOO! DANGER! DANGER! DANGER!"

As everyone looks at him then back at me with pity and sympathy in their eyes I cross the stage with my head held high. My cheeks might be red and my thoughts only circling around killing my father but I still walk across the stage calmly and accept my diploma. now someone with a more trained eye would have noticed that my walk was about the speed of an average man's jog but since I am so tall and fast it wasn't noticed.

-one summer vacation later-

Thinking about that embarrassing moment I start to pack to get ready to go to Lander and start my new life. Well, I try to pack but before I can start both parents bust into my room with tears running down there face like some toddlers who just tripped and scrapped their knee or had there favorite toy taken from them. They both lunge into my chest and hug me while crying and trying to speak some gibberish.

"Calm down you two it's not like I'm dying or never coming back"

*sob* "But we will miss you"(mom)

*sob* "Yeah we are going to miss you so much" (dad)

"I will be back to visit winter break and summer, so don't worry and you can always face time me when you miss me too much"

*sniff* "Yeah? You are going to visit often?"(dad)

*sniff* *sob* "And you won't be annoyed when we face time you?"(mom)

*haha* "Of course I will visit, and no as long as it's within reason I won't get mad if you face time me."

*smile* "Promise?"(mom)

"Yeah, pinkie promise?" (dad)

"yes, I promise, now go I need to pack and hit the road. I want to be moved in over the summer so I can walk around campus and familiarize myself with the campus."

"Okay dear, we love you" (mom)

"Yeah son, we love you and will miss you" (dad)

"I love both of you as well. now go."

After I finish packing my belongings and getting them packed into the car. I give my parents one last hug and kiss on the cheek and hit the road. Off to my new life in the htcp where I will become the greatest hero to have ever walked this planet!"
