Chapter Forty

Alex spread her arms wide, enjoying the wind blowing over her body. Standing at the end of the balcony on the 25th floor made her feel a stronger gust of wind. Down below, the streets were still busy even though it was almost midnight. Manila never really sleeps. The air at the end of summer is starting to feel cool.

Eight months have passed since James Hidalgo and his fiancée's engagement party. Everything is running normally as usual. The news about her and Adrian only lasted for about three days before being replaced by another artist's scandal. Nothing has changed, except for Adrian's behavior, which is a bit embarrassing because suddenly his followers on his Twitter and Instagram accounts have grown rapidly, making him act like a middle school kid.
