I requested Shaun to not inform my brother about the tutoring sessions. In actuality, I had no intention of concealing it from Christopher. After all, lies would eventually be exposed, but it would be more interesting if he discovered them for himself.

After a while of tutoring sessions with Shaun, he gave me a box of my favorite candy. He somehow always remembered my preference. As soon as I walked through the door at home after the tutoring session, I heard Christopher's voice say, "So you've learned how to lie now?"

Knowing he had found out, I instinctively clenched the box of candies in my hand and tried to hide it behind my back. Then, I started to play dumb, saying, "What are you talking about? I... have no idea what you're talking about." I acted like a clumsy child, denying the fact that my secret had been discovered.
