My name is Natalie Scott. My father died from an illness when I was in Grade 10. My mother married a wealthy man, taking me along with her to join the new family, and Christopher Lynch was the son of my wealthy stepfather.

Christopher's mother suffered from severe depression and ended her own life by cutting her wrists when Christopher was ten years old. He witnessed the tragedy. Her blood stained the floor, and the young boy next to her turned pale. Shocked, he was utterly speechless, his pupils dilated.
