Chapter 50 - Research Finish!

While Avery was with the soldiers, Yue went to find Haldir and Elrand.

After finding them, she gathered them in the village hall.

She plans to discuss the ideas that she and her big brother discussed for the city planning of their village.

As she had read and studied some urban planning, she knew what to do and what direction to take.

Avery meanwhile had vast knowledge and experience in this area as he himself ruled a huge empire in the last timeline.

He fixed and adjusted some of Yue's suggestions since she was not aware of some magic phenomenon and technology that the modern world did not have.

Yue easily learned and intelligently adjusted some of her plans and suggestion in accordance with the new information she learned from her big brother.

During her discussion with Haldir and Elrand, she only divulged some of the preliminary ideas that she and her big brother discussed as there was no use in laying out all their plans immediately when they are still a small village.

She only ordered some things that allowed easy expansion and renovation that they would need in the future.

She made sure that the foundation and layout for the roads are made properly to avoid some mistakes and conflicts down the line.

Then she ordered for an area to be allocated for a market to be built upon. As of now, everything is controlled by the village head which means that the distribution of food, clothes, materials and etc was controlled by them.

This wasn't really good later on when they have huge number of people.

Thus they planned to build a market area that would start the economy of their village when the number of villagers is high enough.

The market area was also going to set the foundation for the commerce in the future.

After discussing some more specific things and what to look out for, Yue finally let them leave and do their work.

Yue then rested by the window and stared at the busy village whose elves were busy moving left and right buildings and gathering some material.

She could see some of them using their magic in their work.

One was using [Weight Magic] to move the heavy logs while another was using [Cut] to chop some trees.

"Looks like our morning lessons are working." She smiled at their accomplishments.

"Though… we really need a substitute soon."

"We won't always be there to teach them."

Yue then looked towards the training field where the elven trainees and Avery were training.

She set her gaze on Avery who was seriously giving orders to the elves in front of him.

After a few seconds of staring at him, she fell into a daze thinking of her big brother.

"Hehe… so handsome," Yue said with a silly smile on her face as she dazed at her big brother.

"Ahm... Excuse me, your majesty?"

She then heard a voice behind her that made her jump a little.

"Ehp!"

She quickly turns around only to see Lindir, looking at her embarrassingly.

"Lindir!"

"Y-Yes! Your majesty!" Lindir quickly fixed her posture and stood up straight as Yue's gaze hardened on him.

Seeing him like this, Yue sighed and decided to let things go.

"Anyway, what brings you here Lindir? I thought you were busy with your research?"

"Ahh! About that, I actually came here yo infor your majesty about the recent breakthrough I had with my research!" Lindir quickly informed her knowing that she was calm already.

"Really! That's nice, bring me there I'd like to see it!" Yue said as she excitedly walks towards the door.

Seeing that her majesty was pleased made Lindir a bit proud as he was able to contribute something big to the village.

Lindir then lead Yue to the shelter that was designated as the area for research as they do not have a proper place for it as of now.

Arriving inside, Lindir went ahead and took a pile of seeds and showed it to Yue.

"Your Majesty! Here is the seed that came out of my research based on information his majesty gave me."

Yue took one seed and observed it.

The seed looked very similar to what a wheat seed would look like.

It had a very light brown color like that of a Puja Tejas wheat seed.

Though what's unique about the seeds in her hands was that, it had a light golden glow on it.

It looks like a seed was glowing when you observe it close enough.

Yue turned her gaze to the other seeds that were piled up together.

She can notice that the golden glow was easier to discern as they were piled up together.

'Big brother said that having these seeds this early should not be possible.' Yue though interestingly, as the seed she is holding was said to be rare.

Her big brother said, that the formula for it was only rewarded at the middle phases of the test in the Ascended World.

But with the knowledge that he had and the aid of a highly intelligent elve. They were able to bypass the system and gain it this early.

"Your majesty, if everything turns out well then this seed should be able to yield twice the amount of grains and with greater amounts of nutrients in them."

Yue turned her attention to Lindir who was explaining the benefits of the seeds.

"But the greatest benefit of it all is that the crops should be able to grow four times faster than it normally would if it was growed and carefully cared for in a specific method."

"That means that we would be able to grow fields of these in just 30 days compared to the 120 normally needed."

"That's right, your majesty!" Lindir agreed excitedly, he knows the implication of having a great amount of food.

Food is normally one of the challenges needed in order for a city to grow.

Without the right amount of food, sustaining a high number of people would be incredibly difficulty.

This would result to hunger occurring left and right, if they carelessly increased their population.

However, with this seed that problem would disappear as long as they were able to distribute it properly.

Increasing their population and expanding their city would be no problem.

"This good news! I should inform big brother about this!"

"Oh by the way, are there any other seeds aside from these?" Yue asked, as eating only wheat-related food is not really pleasing.

"Ehm.. *Cough* about that your majesty…" Lindir was embarrassed since he was not yet finished with the other seeds they have in store.

He immediately rushed out to inform her majesty about his progress as soon as he finished one seed.

There were still other seeds he needs to work on.

So Lindir explained his situation embarrassingly.

"No need to be embarrassed. It's good already that you have made progress already." Yue did not blame him and praised him instead. There was no rush needed anyway as the food they had in store could still last them long enough.

"Thank you, your majesty."

"Alright, you should take a rest then" Yue suggested after seeing his current state.

It appears that he stayed up late in the night to continue his research even if he was not required to.

"But–"

"Nope. Rest. Its an order." Yue said sternly.

"Okay, your majesty." Lindir reluctantly agreed.

Yue smiled contentedly seeing the old elf listen to her.

She then left to let Lindir to rest and went to find her big brother.
