Charm Night Club
Damon walked inside the institution as the manager, who was informed by the guards of the arrival of 'The Damon Wood', ran towards him to personally welcome him.
''Welcome sir, we are honoured that you decided to visit our establishment.''
Damon kept on walking as he paid no attention to the manager paid no attention to him.
Just as he was about to climb the stairs towards the second floor, the manager stopped him from behind as he informed him.
"Sir, your companions are on the third floor today.''
Hearing this, Damon simply nodded his head as he changed his way to the elevator and took out his special access pass to use the lift.
Entering the lift, he turned back as he saw the manager still standing there as the doors closed before swiping his card to make the elevator go up.
'Ding'
The elevator made a sound as it reached the third floor, which had sitting arrangements for people who needed privacy and silence from the noisy first floor where the DJ was.
Walking out of the lift, he entered the floor as he looked around the tables covered with frosted glass partitions between both sides to look for his friends.
And not long after his search with his gaze, he saw his friends sitting in one of the booths near the exit, slightly hunching and acting super suspicious.
Walking towards them, he slid into the seat as he asked them in a low voice.
"Why are you guys here?"
"Because his girl is sitting in the next booth.''
Roy whispered back to him, looking a bit tense as he looked at him before he picked up a menu to cover his face.
Hearing this, Damon shifted a bit towards the glass too, as he again asked when he felt that they were looking at him a bit worriedly.
"Why are guys looking at me like that? It's not like my girlfriend is here drinking her guts out. Right?''
He joked but was surprised as they all looked more nervous and tried to hide from his gaze as they turned their faces in different directions.
"Well, that... Ummm...''
Roy replied as he struggled to come up with something to say.
"We did see your wife.''
Oliver replied as he looked at Damon with a strange expression.
''Where?"
Damon nearly yelled as he stood up to search, only to be stopped and pulled back down by Roy.
"There... right next to us with his sweetheart.''
He said as he whispered and pointed towards the next booth and then to Jack.
"But how?''
Damon asked in surprise, only to be shushed by Roy as he told him.
"Just shut up and try to listen.''
***********
In the adjacent booth.
Ivy sat opposite her friend as she saw her take one drink after another.
"Why did you call me?''
She asked as she remembered the morning when she suddenly received a call from her while she was busy trying to finish some of her work. Picking up her glass of Sunset Rum, she looked at her as she waited for a reply.
''I got dumped!''
Rose said as new tears rushed out of her eyes the moment she remembered her boyfriend... well, ex-boyfriend.
"You were in a relationship!?"
Ivy asked in surprise as she put down her glass at the table.
"Yes, I was! Well, how would you know anyway....''
Rose said as she complained, clearly drunk.
''I told you that I am sorry, didn't I?''
Ivy asked helplessly, as she remembered being bombarded with questions mixed with accusations the moment she answered the phone.
"Anyway, tell me which dumb and blind idiot dumped you, you Rose Cox, the most celebrated general in the army...the only daughter of the renowned Cox family.''
''Why does matter?''
Rose spoke as she nervously looked anywhere except Ivy as some clarity appeared in her hazy eyes.
"Rose, what happened?''
Ivy asked as she looked straight at her, but Rose kept on dodging her gaze.
"Rose, I have known you since the day I was born, do you really think that I would not be able to tell that you are hiding something from me?''
"It's nothing.''
Rose said as she fiddled with the empty glass in her hands.
''It is something or else you wouldn't have called me here.''
Ivy stated.
"Will you just tell me or do I have to call and have him investigated.''
Ivy threatened as she took out her mobile from her bag.
"I told you that it's nothing but you won't believe me.
Rose said with some complaint and blame mixed in her voice.
''Fine.''
Ivy said as she noticed how comforted Rose looked after hearing her.
'I just have to make you drunk enough so that you would tell me yourself.'
She thought to herself before ordering a Spirytus Vodka from the waiter who was passing by.
