"We request overtime!" Daniel shouted upon seeing his daughter complain about the leg pain.
Johnny, who had clearly seen Kim's kick, immediately said, "She hit the nerve in that girl's leg and seemed to connect very well. If I'm correct, she lost her free mobility."
"That attack is used a lot in mixed martial arts. Despite not being used by many Karate practitioners, it's well known to be a fatal blow if not blocked," Chozen said, understanding the gravity of the blow Sam received.
By the time Daniel approached his daughter, he asked, "How serious is it?"
"If I receive another kick in the same area, I don't think I'll be able to get up again," Sam said, understanding her own condition better than anyone else.
"What will you do if you get another kick to the leg?" Daniel asked, wanting to know his daughter's decision.
Upon hearing this question from her father, Sam looked at the people behind her and said, "I'll keep fighting until I win or lose in the attempt."
"Then go and finish this fight," Daniel said, thrilled that his daughter had such determination.
Back in the arena, Kim looked at Sam and said, "Have you recovered? I thought you could withstand a little kick like that; it would be better not to force yourself if you can't continue."
She believed she would win the fight if she damaged Sam with a blow, all with the intention of gathering strength for the fight against Devon. But it still seemed like Sam wanted to continue, so she focused.
Sam ignored Kim's comments. She didn't believe Kim had ill intentions, so she prepared herself.
The referee understood that both were ready, so he asked, "Ready? Fight!"
Thud! Thud!
Kim's kicks were quick, all aiming for the lower part of Sam's shoulder in some way, a significant change in strategy according to everyone's eyes.
In the arena, Sam felt that Kim didn't seem to be holding back, so she didn't hold back either. Her punches became faster, and the force behind each of them had enough power to cause significant damage.
In a blink, they exchanged a dozen blows, and the sounds of thunderous impacts echoed from each of their hits.
But this equality of blows was soon affected when Kim increased her speed even more, constantly making Sam's expression more tired.
The difference in endurance between Kim and Sam was very uneven. Sam had recently returned to karate, so she didn't have high endurance or good physical condition.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
As a result, Sam's subsequent exchanges with Kim had become slower, as noticed by everyone watching the fight.
Being aware of this, Kim suddenly increased her speed, and, with a kick that Sam didn't know how to defend against, a fierce blow landed on the back of her leg.
"Ah!" Sam screamed in pain and fell to the ground again.
"Point!" The referee shouted, looking at Sam to see if she would continue the fight.
Kim didn't feel bad about it and said, "You have good skills, but you must have felt that you're still far behind."
Standing up, Sam felt numbness but still managed to get up. Looking at Kim, she focused on what she was about to do and murmured, "I have to use that kick."
She had discovered that if she wanted to win, she needed to disable Kim, and she would do that with her father's front kick.
"Can you continue?" The referee asked, looking at Sam, who had stood up with difficulty.
Looking at the referee, Sam nodded and said, "I can continue..."
"Alright, ready? Fight!"
Assuming a stance to deliver a Mae Geri-style kick, Sam took a deep breath and prepared herself.
Kim frowned but kept her distance, understanding roughly what Sam wanted to do. She waited patiently while deciding what to do.
"Now!"
Sam, seeing Kim approaching, prepared to deliver a front kick with balance. When she saw Kim at a suitable distance, she jumped and launched the kick.
At that moment, seconds slowed down, and when Sam thought she would connect that kick, she saw Kim move aside.
Thud!
Kim, who had dodged the front kick, attacked Sam's stomach, knocking down her rival for the third time.
"Point, winner!"
