7. Goblins

I was currently on the tree lookin at a group of devil pants. it was rare to see many of them in a single place.

"It's good for me anyway."

SNAP- I summoned fifteen fireballs since there were fifteen devil plants in the vicinity.

I didn't summon any fire spear because previously I was just practicing, and it was better to burn plant type monsters rather than penetrating them with spears.

WOOSH- with the motion of my hand all the fireballs flew toward a group of devil pants.

This time they didn't die instantly but were burned to death.

And I saw the prompt of mana gain

Do I need to hunt higher rank beasts to gain more mana.'

I thought as I came down from the tree.

I obviously knew that I was far stronger than typical E rank awakeners. like what kind of E rank awakeners could summon more than hundred fireballs, at most they would be able to 10 - 15 fireballs. So hunting a higher rank beast was not out of options.

I waved my hand and a small crack appeared in the air. I moved my hand inside it and took out a thick book.

"Let's see the closest D rank monsters."

Goblins were called D rank monsters because of 2 reasons.

1st their ability to reproduce, they reproduce so fast that his family had to send hunters every month to clear some of them.

2nd there varieties, there were many different types of goblins shaman goblins, warrior goblins, knight goblins etc.

Because there were so many of them and with so many varieties they were considered D rank monsters.

'Goblin individual strength is no big deal, But they always travel in groups and that they are too far away. At least 20 km'

'Even if I travel by wolf it will at least take 30 min to reach there.'

"I think it's better than hunting weak E rank monsters."

in different part of the forest there were three goblins looking around for food.

"Uvrraaaa uvrraaaa fethgbt fdghd eayhrhhh rheesz!" ( Then find something fast , it's our duty to find food today. If you don't find something soon we will eat you!)

"Valllaal! Valllaal! Notfdjh eayhrhhh rheesz."

( I'll find something! Don't eat me! )

A smaller goblin was obviously frightened of what the big goblin said and began to search the surroundings faster.

RUSTLING- from some distance away from goblins a head popped up from the bushes.

"The minion is here, the big one is here, so where is that archer?"

Normally whenever goblins were spotted there were always in groups of at least three. And a group of three were mostly hunting squads.

A big one would kill, a small one would find prey and archers would help from shadow.

I was hiding behind the bush staring at the goblins.

'I'll attack the big goblin first and then archer would at least show itself.'

With that thought I was about to leave bushes when I heard the noise of a sharp object cutting through air.

I jumped ahead without a second thought.

And when I looked back, there was an arrow embedded in the ground where I was previously crouching.

I got up and noticed that both the goblins were staring at him.

"That damn Archer!"

I cursed out loud as he caught sight of another figure on the tree behind the goblins.

It was wearing black hood with a wooden bow in his hand.

SNAP- I summoned ten fire spears and fired them against a big goblin. And after that he summoned five fire arrows and fired them against the archer in the back. as for the third goblin, I ignored him.

The big goblin didn't dodge the fire spear instead he threw his club against them. Four of the ten spears were taken away by the club of course club didn't survive either.

Seeing six spears still heading towards him, the goblin tried to doge but it was only able to dodge two of them, the other four impaled it hand, leg and stomach Soon its body caught fire and its body turned to ash.

Archer goblin who saw what happened to big goblin didn't dare to attack head on and dodged all five arrows and attacked with his own arrows. I who was seemingly expecting this didn't dodge instead made four shields around me, soon arrows which archer goblin fired came in contact with fire shields and evaporated instantly.

I took the chance when the goblin archer was still in a vulnerable position after firing the arrows. I summoned three fire arrows and fired them towards the goblin's both shoulder and head.

Goblin Who saw fire arow coming toward its head tried to dodge by jumping right side, and it was successful in dodging the arrows but another arrows which was positioned toward its right shoulder impaled its chest.

Seeing this I removed fire shields surrounding me and began to notice prompts which were ringing in my head for quite some time. But before I did anything , a thin goblin came running toward me. It was holding a small dagger it was just running toward me with its eyes closed. I just summoned a fireball and threw it at goblin and goblin

burned to ashes.

I looked at the surroundings to see if anyone else was nearby.

Seeing that no one was nearby, I began to go through promote one by one.

[ Sperm bank: it gives the ability to form sperm in the shortest time possible, quality being so much that it has a 100% chance of impregnating any women of your species. ] ( given that females don't use mana to stop the process.)

With all the information coming at the same time I felt slightly dizzy.

' I feel like I can lift up the whole damn tree.'

I didn't let go of that thought , and tried to pull out the tree from the bottom of the ground.

I was panting heavily. But there was still a smile on my face. From a simple human level strength to this level of strength.

"My ability is just amazing!. I wonder if there are any limitations to it."

I wondered, the ability to take others arcane power was just too overpowered.

Imagine having hundred and thousands of abilities in the hand of a single human. That person could wipe the entire human race with just a snap of his hand.

"Ok ,Let's not get distracted. I'm still far from that level."

I said to myself as I woke up from my day dreaming. And started checking my other ability.

"Archer's eye? Let's start with this."

I concentrated on his eyes as I tried to see the tree in distance. I was able to see the tree and its every branch clearly. but after a certain distance clarity started to dwindle. nonetheless it was still superior to normal eyes.

"That tracker ability is not working. Is it because there are no monsters near me?"

Seeing that tracker ability was not working.

Eric moved onto the next one.

"*Cough* *Cough* Although this one is weird it is still usable in some circumstances." After all even I was a man of culture.

After checking all the abilities, I decided to run around the area, there were 2 reason for it. First I wanted to get familiar with my strength which was increased by my ability [ superhuman strength ] it was easy as this ability was most common among awakeners.

And the second was to test my ability [ tracker ].

I started roaming around to see if there was any monster near by for me to detect.

"Hey you over there, what are you doing here."

Just when I was moving around the area searching for monsters, I heard a human voice.

'I couldn't detect them through [ tracker ] ability?'

I thought as I stared at three humans standing far away from me.
