Chapter 171 : [Operation Spearhead Part 2 (Cape Fligely II)]

Cape fligely, One of the northern most part of Russia and bear one of its coldest region that is neither Arctic or Antarctica in Russia. Just like the shape of any cape that can be found all over the world, cape fligely was also one of its kind with its unique charm of snow instead of sand. Coupled with black stones and land ion exchange for earth and rocks, cape fligely could even be describe as a snow wonderland based on which perspective was taken.

The moment the group in the area was assigned to investigate the place upon arrival, everyone on the group then naturally went to each of their own team as they begun to examine the place. Plus since cape fligely is an area which is between land and sea, the search area wouldn't be that large in comparison to other teams assigned in bigger and wide area.

Due to that while some people were fully focused in examining every nook and cranny of cape fligely, the others who simply followed blindly then begun paying attention to the water as they frolic along its coastline. Despite its cold nature due to the sea being close to the Arctic area, the agents who somehow undergone numerous challenges doesn't mind at all.

In fact some of Kanzaki's team members were among those who frolic in the water, namely Yuti and Richard, nevertheless not even the commanding officers themselves could stop them after spending time of searching with no results.

An exact about two hours had passed since the group had started their search, but despite that, so signs of the terrorist or their base could be found in the area. The commanding officers themselves even begun to wonder the exact same thing and started communicating with the other commanding officers in other area. But one cant deny that their operation in cape fligely to search for the terrorist group bore nothing but empty expectations.

In that moment just about when everyone decided to head back in this fruitless venture, one of the guys in Alice team discovered something along the hard stone walls of cape fligely of about a corpse of a chaos being implanted unto the wall. The moment the corpse was found, the person then begun calling out to his team which was then further followed by a series of call towards the other members in the group. Soon after even the commanding officers was called as they all hurriedly went over and check the situation.

Once everyone was gathered together, they then all saw the corpse of the chaos being in a form of a minotaur just like in the Greek legends. One of its obvious trait why everyone regarded such corpse as a minotaur is because of its head of a bull and body of a bulk human.

With such corpse imbedded unto the wall, further investigation in  the area was naturally needed as the commanding officers begun their work.

Time passed by for about another hour, various reports came from the other site as they all reported back of seeing corpse of a chaos being buried within their site. The moment this has happened, varying coincidence formed in the heads of the commanding officers as they begun to speculate the intents of the terrorist while they let the agents examine the corpse.

While the three commanding officers begun to speculate on such stuff, the agents who were responsible in examining the corpse together with their supporters, then begun to notice a weird resonance from the corpse towards their mana. To be exact the corpse itself was sucking the mana of any person touching the surface of its body which was quite weird. Due to that those specified agents then begun to call out the commanding officers which attracted everyone's attention.

Once everyone gathered around the imbedded corpse on the wall, the commanding officers then took charge, as commanding officer Chen closely walked over and started examining the corpse on her perspective. 

Soon after for some unknown reason, Commanding Officer Chen somewhat touched something on the corpse which caused a reaction to the said dead body. This time however the corpse itself started sucking in the mana in the air which caused everyone to take a step away from the wall, as they all saw the corpse glow bright red.

After it glowed bright red, its eyes then begun blinking in a series of black and white which caused confusion among the crowd on what such reaction signifies. However the only person who immediately caught on what the blinking signifies was none other than commanding officer Zhang

The moment Commanding Zhang noticed the blinking light, a grim expression instantly covered his face as he begun to react which alarmed everyone in the crowd. At the same time Kanzaki's foresight suddenly kicks in unannounced, as he saw the future were the majority of the people in the area were injured and bleeding due to something exploding out of nowhere.

When Kanzaki saw that split fracture into the future, he then quickly reacted as he rushed up within the crowd and took Alice arms before trying to jump away to avoid being damaged by the explosion that was about to happen. No matter what anyone says, Alice held an important place in his heart, thus he cannot afford for her to get hurt or killed in any situation.

Of course the moment Kanzaki begun to move, Commanding officer Zhang then cried out.

"Everyone take cover! It's gonna explode!!!"

Hearing the commanding officer's shout, everyone then reacted immediately as some even tried to run away from the explosion, But before they could even take a second step, the corpse imbedded unto the wall then suddenly exploded as everyone who was near the vicinity was blown away by the force and crash unto either the snow or the cold water itself.

Luckily for everyone, each and every one of them managed to apply basic defensive armor using their mana unto themselves as they somehow defended themselves at a bare minimum.

Once the explosion died down, the commanding officers begun to check everyone's condition as they all called out their members. Accordingly Commanding officer Zhang begun to roll call their team members.

"Richard?"

".... Here!"

"Farid?"

"I'm... Okay..."

"Yuti?"

"Over here!!!"

"Kanzaki?"

"....."

"Kanzaki?!?!"

"....."

"Kanzaki answer me! are you okay?"

Instead of answering commanding officer Zhang's roll call, Kanzaki quickly took ahold of his sword (Fafnir), as he immediately saw another foresight to the split future right after the explosion ended. From his sight he foresaw a creature with immense speed coming out of nowhere as it looms over the whole group and begun its killing spree in a single strike.

Towards anyone who were unsuspecting of danger, they were immediately killed on the spot in just one attack of the chaos being, and the every first one who feel against this monster, is commanding officer Zhang himself.

Without a moments delay, Kanzaki rushed over towards Commanding officer Zhang in great speed as he aimed towards his target who looms behind the said officer. In just one swing Kanzaki deflected the strike of a chaos being in a form of a humanoid rabbit twice his size, as he prevented commanding officer Zhang's death in the split future.

But the death foresight didn't end there, the moment he moved to save commanding officer Zhang's life, he then saw multiple future of deaths from the agents as Alice was among the slain in this battle. With such grim future, Kanzaki stepped in once more as he tried his best to prevent the death of all the agents in the area.
