Chapter 6

Lucien's POV

When we got home, dad called a meeting of his family members to arrange for mom's funeral. I was very sad and stayed locked up in my room . Mom was buried the next day and during the funeral, dad looked blank and sad. Caroline my best friend from school came with her mom. I don't even know how she found out or who invited her but I was glad to see her. We went to the graveside of my just buried mom and just sat down. The scilence was as comforting as her presence. I felt her hug me and then she said "I am very sorry for the loss Lucien. I know how you feel and how it is to lose a parent but accept my condolences. " Thank you for your concern, I miss her already you know. Yeah I know she replied. We then walked away from the graveside holding hands.

Just then, Xavier came to me. We were close friends from childhood, Caroline, Xavier and I. Xavier was the only son of the richest family in our country. Even though we were just 15 years old, he was already dubbed the richest kid in the world because of the expanse of his family wealth. Despite all these, he was very kind, compassionate and humble. His and Caroline's presence meant a lot to me. I left the cemetery after the funeral feeling very sad that day.

Please everyone I have some corrections to make please Lucien is 19 years old and is the same age with Xavier and Caroline. Selena is 16 years old and is a premed student in Macquarie. Xavier is not a first year student he is a 3rd year medical student. Lucien and Caroline are 4th year archeology students. Lucien was 15 years old when his mother died 4 years ago.

The last chapter and this one is Lucien's back story. It is a flash back

Xavier, Caroline and Selena would also have theirs in due time
