Chapter 124
In an attempt to ease his wife's already anxious mind, Hyun got up, and slowly walked towards the guard. He squatted down, checking the man's pulse.
"He's still breathing." Hyun declared after a short while, then added comfortingly. "It's alright. You didn't kill him, just knocked him out."
"Oh…" Jung-Hee opened her mouth, letting out a deep breath of relief. "Thank heavens!"
After this adventure, the couple decided they should keep on walking until they reached their destination, instead of stopping for a break. Both of them were afraid that someone else might pop out from behind a tree and attack them.
Thus, without caring about the guard one bit, Hyun picked up his sword, and quickly took Jung-Hee away from there.
During the next hour, they haven't met any other person, and thus, managed to reach a safer area without any further incidents.
