Chapter 8

Bonnie's POV

" Daddy! daddy please hurry , mommy is in pain! " A child's voice shrieks behind the door.

I look at Adrian who rushes to the door " Avery what do you mean" Tyler questions the child

" Please daddy she needs you!" The young voice continues screaming.

" Tyler dammit Esme needs you!" Adrian growls, I watch the scene in front of me unfold.

" The luna...I was strictly instructed to not leave her side!" Tyler stutters, I can sense the panic in his voice.

" Tyler ,I will watch the Luna just until you get back but right now Esme needs you." I hear Tyler leaving as his footsteps sound heavy on the floor.

Adrian enters the room again, she exhales and looks back at me with a smirk. I raise my brow then it hits me.

" We only have thirty minutes, so I suggest we get going!" Adrian grabs my arm pulling me off the bed.

" Wait...you mean to tell me that was your distraction?" Adrian nods , without wasting time we head out of the room, Adrian checks the coast, Adrian leads me down a passage we pass some rooms and stop in front of a door,panting hard I look at her .

" This is his office, now hurry up, I will watch out for anyone coming this side" I am about to turn the handle, I turn back to her.

" Adrian what if he's inside?" I whisper, she shakes her head.

" He had to go attend a meeting in town, he won't be back until afternoon" Adrian reassures me, I nod and go inside ,wow he's office is lavish full of book shelves and strongly had a pinewood scent, I draw my attention to the cupboard next to his desk, I crouch down in front of it and open it,I go through it and my hands land on a small box, I take it out , its entirely made out of wood, like a small wooden chest, I try to open it but it won't budge, instead I quickly analyse it in my hands, I notice that it has a moon crescent engraved on it"

"Any luck? "Adrian calls out to me. I quickly put the the box back in and find a bag, I pull it out.

" Bingo!" I smirk as I empty out the heavy weapons. I take my dagger, and play with it in my hands , I strap it back into place this time on my thigh, I take out the gun, and wrap the smart watch around my wrist, finally I put the bag back inside the cupboard.

I slip out of the office, finding a nervous Adrian looking pissed

" What took so long? "

" Relax, I think we need to go!" I whisper at her, we hear footsteps approaching the stairs.

Adrian tries to head back to the room but I stop her

" Adrian I am not going back there!" I whisper yell at her, her eyes grow wide.

" Bonnie if anyone finds you out here.." she's cut off by a woman dressed in blue jeans and a grey blouse.

" Adrian, what are you doing out with her, you know that the Alpha said for her to not go out anywhere." I give her a cold stare.

" She's bored and I think a tour around the grounds will cheer her , besides I am the Betas mate so you have no business questioning my every move unless you want me to tell my brother how you undermine my position!" The young lady bows her head down.

" I am sorry ,I don't mean to undermine your authority." She quickly disappears into one of the rooms. Adrian quickly exhales and leads us down stairs, we head to the kitchen she stops in her tracks and turns to face me.

" Bonnie you shouldn't be here, my brother is going to kill me for this, besides what exactly are you planning to do out here.

" Adrian relax, and your brother won't know you helped me out."

She shakes her head and grabs my arm.

" Bonnie I am sorry but we need to get back to the room"

I sigh and look at her.

" Forgive me for this but I need to do this. "

I come closer to her.

" Do what... Bonnie.." she wails and collapses on the floor.

I inject the tranquilizer in her arm , I took back in the office. Once she drops , I drag her into the lounge making sure no one sees me, I gently place her on the couch in a sleeping position.

I look around the big room and head to the front door, I slowly open it, no one was around , I creep out of the door. I look around my surroundings, it's a cute place with houses near by , I walk trying not to attract any attention to myself, a few of the people around just stared at me but went on with their tasks , I finally get to woods , I breath out, looking back to make sure no one was following me. I switch on the watch. And press the middle button which connects me to Zedd.

" Zedd where are you?" I send a message on it.

Instantly I get a reply from him,he's just arrived ,after a few moments I hear growling in the distance, that's my confirmation, I quickly run to where the commotion is. I spot three black trucks and a red sports car in the distance,along with eight wolves surrounding the entry point. I crouch down and send Zedd a message on the watch telling him to distract the wolves.

"Are you crazy !" I read his text ,I roll my eyes, I tell him to get out of the car, and I will meet him halfway.

I see him get out ,I can see that he's a bit uncomfortable,so while the wolves start growling, I quickly run past them and jump on Zedd wrapping my legs around him " Zedd!" I scream out hugging him closely, while he spins me around." Bonnie!"

I can hear the growling grow, then out of nowhere , I spot another black truck screech in front of us, I notice that the driver is non other than Damos , I smirk, without Zedd expecting my next move, I passionately kiss him. Out of nowhere someone pushes me off Zedd causing me to fall, I manage to land on my stomach and look back, I gasp as I watch in horror as Damos ferociously punches Zedd in his face , I draw out my gun and shoot it in the air and point it at Damos head, it's silent for a minute but I still hear deathly growls behind me and now there were other men pointing their guns back at the wolves probably from the other trucks.

" Get your filthy claws off him,or I swear I will shoot you in your head " I say this coldly but Damos snarls and I can see his body was growing some fur.

" Don't test me Damos!"I pull the barrel of the gun back " Get the fuck away from him!" I snap at him, for a moment he seems reluctant but steps away from Zedd , I quickly run to Zedd's side while facing Damos , he's eyes look blood shot deadly and they were piercing my soul but I couldn't care less.

"Zedd are you okay?" I ask him without looking at him , he stands up, wiping the blood off his face " yeah, I am okay"

Damos looks pissed off, what exactly is his problem," Damos , I swear if you move any closer then I won't just shoot you, but I will shoot myself as well" Zedd turns to face me with wide eyes

" What the fuck Bonnie!" Zedd is shocked but I know that this the only way to diffuse the situation, i turn the gun and place it near my head" Damos suddenly panics as I move the gun to my head, he steps back and for some reason the other wolves stop growling.

" Tell them to retreat Damos!" His breathing gets heavy but I just tighten my grip on the gun making him flinch. Damos growls then I see the other wolves stepping back ,Zedd orders his men to do the same. While I am still pointing my gun towards Damos ,a blue luxurious sedan car pulls up, then the same guy who carried me pops out how great. He rushes to Damos's side and snarls when he notices the gun aimed at Damos.

" What is the meaning of this?" He asks me , I can sense that he is annoyed.

" How nice of you to join us! " I spat

" What the heck is the meaning of this?" He snarls

I roll my eyes at him " you need to get your dog's under control,he nearly killed one of my friends" i snap but there are growls around me but they die down.

" Can't we just kill them" one of the wolves snarls.

" Shit did that wolf just..." I nod my head at Zedd who looks freaked out.

" Look they mean no harm, instead they were worried about me and I asked them to come drop my car off...and maybe I got carried away" I answer back.

" Then why are there men carrying ammunition?" He asks

" I want them ....they needed to protect themselves, anyway they are going to leave so you better not do anything stupid or I swear I will carry out my threat!" I stare back at Damos who clenches his fists.

" Then I suggest they better get moving because this won't end well" Damos glares at the man and thenback at me, I nod my head.

" Zedd you need to go, right now!" Zedd is still shocked by what he witnessed,I elbow him in his side and he snaps out of it.

" Bonnie are you going to be okay with these animals?" I smirk

" Zedd if you value your life you will leave right now!" He nods and hands me some keys " like you asked" he whispers and heads towards one of the trucks , I can see one of the wolves crouching slowly so I quickly turn the gun back to my head, Damos growls making the other wolf stop in his tracks.

" I don't want to repeat myself Damos! Now you won't move a muscle until they are gone" I shout, the three trucks move out and disappear in the distance, I grab the keys Zedd gave me." Now you will get out of my way understood!" The guy seems more annoyed he mutters insults and looks back at Damos " You are going to pay for this sweetheart " Damos retorts.

I open the car and slam it shut ,I speed off to the house , I notice that Adrian is not where I left her, I head up the stairs with the luggage and enter Damos's room, happy to see that Tyler was not in sight I lock the doors and rush to the bathroom and lock myself in. I know that Damos is definitely going to kill me tonight.
