BLUE EYES

Ryan Stephens was born blind, but despite her condition, she is always described as an optimistic, bubbly and a bright person. She has a younger and older sister; Dannie, the oldest and Yuan, the youngest. The three of them has an unbreakable bond and was always seen hanging out at the park near their mansion, but an unexpected incident ALMOST change the bond they have. Unrealistic things started to happen after Ryan's eye transplant. Most of the people admire Ryan's new pair of eyes, but the owner of the eyes never felt that way. She always feels the opposite of ALL the compliments she always received. Blue is now her hated color and maybe some people wished to have the same eye color as hers, but Ryan wishes the opposite. She regretted having the surgery. She had regrets after seeing the world.

YUGTO 2: HOW I SHOW MY CLEVERNESS [Logically]

[RYAN STEPHEN'S POV]

"For Pete's sake, Ryan just stop. I'm not going back to that place anymore. No, please. That place is so DIRTY" Alliyah disagreed right away. From where I'm sitting I could still feel her grimace and I just giggled. She visited me because she said she is lazy to attend school today, and she decided to tag along in my home-schooling. "Shhh. I'm reading" I shushed her off, eyes closed. I was busy reading my lecture, I mean touching it. "Oh. My bad. Sorry" she apologized, but I just ignored her. I'm busy. She knows how I focus on my studies or certain things. I'm always passionate about it.

While I was feeling my notes, Stolen Memories YouTube channel came up to mind. "Thank you" I said which I earned a confused hum from her. "Is that for me, or you're just reading?" she clarified. I just sat still on the stool as my fingers left my notes. "Thank you for SOMEHOW protecting my privacy" I emphasized, but I'm still upset because Eugene spotted me. I know it was not her fault, but I just want to talk it out for some reasons. "Hmm, I see. Well. Yeah, about that. I apologized for what that midget did. She really can get out of hand sometimes" Alliyah stated a fact, but I just tilted my head to the side, tapping my fingers against the marbled table. "More like most of the time" I corrected her, still tapping my fingers. "On behalf of the crew. I'm really sorry. It won't happen again. Promise" she said, sitting next to me. "Yeah sure but, did you guys checked out where the blood trails leads to?" I curiously ask. "It's kinda weird you know? The trail stops on top of the stairs, skipping the whole steps then continued underneath the landing. It smells so bad too. Ew" She described still grimacing at the end of her sentence. I hum in response, searching for her hand. "What is it this time, Sherlock?" Alliyah joked, placing her hand on top of my palm, but I just hum while caressing her hand gently.

"It has been 2 decades now since that house was left abandoned right?" I clarify receiving a hum from her. "But, how come the dried blood STILL smell that bad? It should be odorless by now if I am not mistaken right?" I implied or maybe-- "You're not saying that we're just faking it, don't you?" she tried reading me again, but I just shake my head sideways while narrowing my eyebrows at the same time. "Not that, idiot" I rolled my eyes, letting go of her hand. "You better be~ anyways, continue" she said. I let out a sigh carefully leaning my elbow on the table. "I'm just thinking about, what IF, just a WHAT IF okay? What if that blood trail you found was just from a recent incident?" I hypothetically said, receiving nothing from her. I shrug my shoulders, finding my way back to my notes and started feeling my notes again when Alliyah decided to speak up. "I don't know, but it could be or couldn't be. I mean there's nothing else in that specific area, but the awful smell" she gainsaid which I stayed quiet for a minute while closing my eyes, trying to recall something relatable.

"Still remember when we sneaked out from the neighborhood? I think we're 7 that time" I ask, hearing her hum. "What about that? You're scaring me already. Just go straight to the point, Ryan" Alliyah SOMEHOW dread. "Fine, but let me explain a little further" I suggested, feeling her arms wraps around my waist. "I will take that as a yes then, anyways, still remember that time our parents freaked out because they thought were already kidnapped?" I recalled. "Somehow" She replied. "I'll kill you, Alliyah. I swear to God" I warned her. "Geez. Chill out. I'm just teasing you. Of course. I do. They almost called the attention of the press for fast results" then she giggles and pinch my cheek. "Tsk. Yeah. We're so curious on how the world look like outside the thick walls of High-gates. We even planned our ways to distract the guards" I smiled because of the memory.

"But we didn't manage to do our plan because the guards were at the meeting with the President of High-gates that time. I almost cried-out because I can't think of an idea on how you will climb up the gate" Alliyah continue, pulling me close to her and I nodded my head. "You guided me on our way up. We looked like a complete idiot because we're copying each other's movement that time" I rolled my eyes playfully. "At least we passed through the gates despite looking like an IDIOT" Alliyah nudges my said while giggling. "Fine. Then as we're walking not to far. You saw a street vendor selling boiled banana. Both of our stomach grumbles and you treated me. When the vendor gave you our boiled bananas, you asked for another one because you said it was burnt, then she told us it wasn't, but you were insisting it was" I added finding it hilarious. "It was burnt FROM the outside. You can't blame me for insisting that because it was my first time seeing that kind of food" Alliyah defended herself, but I just chuckled by that. "Fine. Chill out" I copied what she said earlier, receiving a light smack to my shoulder. "Let's just say it was burnt from the outside, yet the inside isn't. Just like the blood trail. It starts from the top, but skipped all the steps then continued down to the floor just like how the banana looked like. We couldn't see the inside of it, like what's behind the ladder" I tried to relate the two.

"Are you assuming that there is something behind the steps?" Alliyah asks, sounding not convinced. I just nodded my head, thinking. "I'm just pointing out the fact that the blood trail skipped all the steps, Alli. Can't you see the logic behind it? Its interesting how it happened" then I shrug. She won't believe it anyway. "You are exaggerating things again, Ryan. It could be just because the house was covered with cobwebs everywhere. If you insist, you could be right or wrong in this, but the simplest explanation about the smell might be just a dead rat" She explained, also comparing it. Great. "I'm not insisting anything though" I shrug my shoulders and goes back to my lecture. "But it sounded like you're seeing it differently, Ryan" She claimed which I giggled. "You'll see it differently too if you will just try seeing it the way how I'm seeing it now, Alli" I said a fact.

Fast Forward: [After lunch. Alliyah is still at the Stephens]

"Are you watching it again?" Alliyah asks, sitting next to me to the couch. "I haven't finished it yet because of the brown out the other day" I replied. "Alexa and Google's enemy?" she curiously asks upon seeing the new technology created by my father's company. I nodded my head while leaning my phone closer to my mouth. "Bright, Stolen Memories YouTube Channel please" I said, hearing a click. That sound means the file or what I need is already flashed through the screen. "Bright, The Ghost of High-gates please" I said, hearing another click then my desired episode automatically play. I smiled proudly while winking in Alliyah's direction. "Cool, but what is the LOGIC behind that new technology?" she emphasized while giggling. "Bright is programmed to help blind people use their devices easily and in comfort. Upon installing, the application will automatically sort things out such as photos, songs, files, video, contacts, even the history searches" I elucidate in details. "Then, how will you guys send and read messages using that?" She asks, testing my knowledge.

I smirk at the question and roll my eyes playfully. "Bright, ugly baby. Send it to Yuan please" I demonstrate, then I heard clicks twice. "Yuan replied. So did you. Reply or ignore?" Bright asked. "Ignore please" I said, then it clicks once and vibrates. "It turned off" Alliyah said, then I shake my head. "It automatically goes to rest, conserving its battery life while not using it" I explained. "Conserving? So it's not eating up the battery life when it's on display?" She clarifies, receiving a hum from me. "I guess so" I shrug, hearing the part I haven't heard yet from the episode. "What do you mean, I guess so?" She asks in confusion and I glance at her voice direction. "It's not yet out for the market. The team is still improving its every function to make it even convenient for blind people like me" I enlightened her and focus back my attention to the Ghost of High-gates Episode.

[DINGDONG]

"Ryan. I'm home" My head pops up from the couch, turning towards Yuan's voice direction. "Hi bunny" I greeted her while listening to her footsteps. "Oh. You didn't go to school?" She asked Alliyah who just lean her head to my shoulder comfortably. "She was lazy" I replied for my best friend. She's lazy to talk too, I guess. The empty space on my other side pressed down, then I felt a peck to my cheek. "Something annoying happened to me today" Yuan growl while laying her head to my lap. "Save that for later, bunny. Go change first" I smiled. "Anyways, Dannie will be late for dinner tonight. She also said not to wait for her to come home" Yuan informs before getting off the couch. "Ryan fall asleep the moment the back of her head hit the pillow" Alliyah said a fact which I only giggles in return. "And your point is?" Yuan asks. By the sound of her voice, she might be raising an eyebrow. "Its impossible" Alliyah replied a confusing answer. "Huh?" Yuan questioned her. "You'll see it differently too if you will just try seeing it how the way I'm seeing it now, Yuan" Alliyah copied my remarks, but in monotone and I find it funny. I can't help but to laugh. "What's funny?" Yuan groan then I felt heavy footsteps going away. She's on the way upstairs, a little annoyed.  "You're unbelievable" I giggle. "I'm just stating a fact, Ryan. Can't you see the logic behind it? It's interesting how it happened" she continued copying my remarks, but tickling me at the same time. "STOP!" I burst out laughing. I'm ticklish.

"GET A ROOM YOU TWO!?" Yuan yelled upstairs. She still annoyed.
