A deep, sharp, and throbbing pain pulsed throughout Ace's body, with the sharpest bit of it coming from his mid-section. With a look of anger and discomfort on his face, the Blood Bishop lowered his head and eyes down only to see the Ethisian's scale penetrating his body.
The creature, having used its other hand as a distraction, tricked Ace into dropping his guard, eventually leaving an opening for it to pierce its scale into his body.
With the taste of iron filling his mouth quickly, Ace coughed and struggled to breathe as he felt his insides scream in pain.
