With their intentions unknown, the humans fight dearly for their lives, even though they make little to no progress. While humanity struggles to survive, one particular characters gets chosen to become a walking weapon for the Alien Race, The Granians. Ace Underwood, who was one of the unlucky thousands that got abducted,wakes up to find himself inside a green tube. With no idea what's going on, he manages to escape only to learn of his new changed form. In the buzzing metropolis of Planet Grania, a convoy of floats and hover platforms gently floated over the streets. Millions of citizens gathered to see the great and feared Blood Mutants.
As a way to prepare them for war, the Granians decided to let the Granian population set eyes on the four humans Ace, Cherry, Anya, and Jim. The mutants had floats of their own, with Lord Grania's at the front and Grim's at the back. Accompanying the mutants was Skyler, the only human, to her knowledge, who refused to be turned into a Blood Mutant.
