"Well, that was interesting to watch," Caitlyn said, smiling sheepishly.

"What was?" I asked, still in a daze from Matthew's kiss and confession.

"Watching Lloyd and Reeves fight over you like that! I had to control my laughter since we were discussing serious issues," she replied, sitting with her legs crossed on the couch. 

"What are you talking about? They were not fighting over me," I replied calmly.

"You, my dear, are oblivious to a lot of things," she answered back. "I especially loved how much Lloyd pulled Reeves' strings. He was fishing for his weakness, and he found it. Haha!"

"And what's that?" I asked, sitting across from her on the couch Matthew and I shared.

"You, Mila. You are his Achilles heel," Caitlyn scoffed. "And that kiss, wow! Breathtaking. He pulled you in so desperately, begged you to choose him, to trust him, and he anchored you with his confession."
