Ramos Corp.

Gael's POV

"Good morning boss" Ginny greeted me immediately as she walked into my office. I glanced at the time before looking at her .

"What happened to being here by 9:00am " I questioned with a frown

" I'm sorry boss, something came up" she muttered, not looking back at me.

I glared at her before turning back to my computer.

"Did you send out the emails yesterday?" I asked .

" Yes boss, " she replied .

" My coffee?"

"Do I really have to tell you all the time?" I groaned silently, slightly rubbing my temples.

" Sorry boss" she muttered and walked to the coffee Brewer . I sighed and continued with what I was doing .

"What's on my schedule today?" I asked as she dropped the cup on the table . I took a quick sip while she scrolled quickly on her tab.

Just how I like it . The sugar and milk is just balanced . Ginny's really good at it , maybe that's one of the reasons I haven't laid her off and let's say because she's good at what she does .

"Sir, you have a meeting with the board this morning, in about thirty minutes , a general staff meeting by 3pm , press conference by 5pm and some necessary signings" Ginny replied reading from the tablet.

"Today's going to be a busy day...yet again" I sighed .

" Get everything ready for the board meeting" I added .

" Yes sir , is that all boss?" She asked .

"Leave"

She nodded and walked out . I sighed reclining in my chair , I rested my head gently on the head of the chair .

I told Ginny to get everything ready for the board meeting but I am not even ready myself! . I'm not ready for the talk again! . Because I know what they are going to talk about .

LDN Corp!. It always is , and it's tiring. I have tried so many times to book an appointment with the CEO, let's even talk , let's talk about everything , but to make things worse the CEO decides to remain anonymous.

Like what the actual butt!

My phone rang out loudly and I glanced at the caller's ID.

'Dad'

Just not someone I wanted to talk to. I decided to ignore the call and focus on my work but it rang out loudly again .

"Common dad , give me a break!" I half yelled immediately i picked it up

" I would ! , once you figure out what is supposed to be done" he snapped back .

" Dad , you and I know that I'm trying my best !"

"Well , i think your best is not enough because soon we would be going bankrupt, one big move from LDN and Ramos Corp is gone forever"

" I'm doing my best , i really am and pressurizing me about how fast i should get things done is doing me no good"

" If you know you can't handle things , then let me! "

" No, we are not turning this into one of your little missions " I muttered and ended the call.

Damn it!

I'm so frustrated right now.

"You cannot handle the position as CEO well" one of the investors snapped.

" Excuse you? "

" If you were to be in this position, I'm sure the company would have closed down before now" I fired back angrily.

" I'm the CEO here , so you go by my rules. I'm handling this situation the best way I can , so you all should just find ways to help or get the heck out of here" I yelled again.

" Our investment is part of this company, so you don't make all the decisions" the man snapped

Just then I noticed it was Berto. He never even liked me in the first place. He always thought he would get the position of the CEO but then dad handed it over to me , since then he never supports me in any way and always tries to counter what i say.

I smirked widely

"I know you're still not over the fact that I'm CEO, Berto " I said

" It's been more than five years. I'll keep saying it , Learn. To . Live. With . It " I completed in a mocking tone , taking my words one after the other.

"You rude punk , you think you know it all" he yelled angrily slamming his fist on the table

I only smirked.

"That's all for now" I said to the other investors and headed for the door with my chin up as I took slow strides out.

"That jerk, I'm gonna deal with you someday, you're not better off from you father" I heard him growl.

' That's a no Berto. I'm far different from my father '

I headed to the mini hall which served as a hall for holding any press meeting .

"Sir Gael , sir Gael" Ginny called out, hurrying to catch up with me.

"Sir Gael" she called again when I didn't reply.

"What the heck do you want?" I snapped turning to look at her.

" Sir, are you sure you want to do this?I mean , you might not be able to stand the questions they'll ask," she added .

"What was that supposed to mean? " I arched my brows. She sighed.

" Sir, you hate the press, we wouldn't want to get into another scandal on the internet again , with the LDN issue topping it" she explained

" I'm going to do it and that's final" I said and walked into the mini hall

" He never listens" I heard her sigh but I decided to ignore her.

I walked towards the raised podium and took my seat . Ginny came in and sat beside me.

"Let's start"

The hall became silent as the reporters held their cameras in position.

"Sir , what are your thoughts on the LDN Corp, do you see them as a big threat to your companies? " One of the reporters asked .

"LDN has always been an issue , and the biggest threat my company have ever had" I replied

" Do you plan on reaching an agreement with the boss? " Another asked

"Yes,if possible "

"Now that she has revealed her identity, are you still going to try booking any meetings or appointments with her? "

"Yes , it depends though because she majorly decides if she wants us to meet" I returned their question .

There were some " ohhs" and " yess" from the other reporters.

They murmured among themselves before turning to me again .

" What do you have to say to those who say you are involved in illegal activities"

" People will always find things to talk about, there's no evidence to that so , it remains a rumor not a true fact" i replied

The other people muttered nodding their heads in response to what I just said.

Truth to be told , I'm quite aware dad's involved in illegal activities. I'm not involved but I'm aware .Well , like what people would say , you're one of them if you refuse to report their activities.

" Sir what do you have to say about your father aiming for the post of the president? " Someone asked all of a sudden.

" Well that's not my question to answer" I was going to say but I decided against it . I adjusted the microphone before turning back to the expectant crowd.

" If that's all I'll take my leave now" I muttered and stood up immediately ,ignoring every question they tried to ask.
