In the test, Raven avoided using any Weapon as he didn't want to accidentally kill the Shadow of Apophis with a weapon, thus failing the test. He had to kill the thing with only one particular skill.

Fortunately, the effects of his Items weren't restricted. His Mana recovery was extremely high, and so was his defense.

Apophis, with limited stats, wasn't able to break through the defense provided by the Robe of Sage.
