Job

Ben: Well. Time to rest. Oh. Wait. Yeah. I don't have a place to rest. I don't have the money to get a place to rest. I don't have a job to get the money to get a place to rest. I obviously didn't teleport here with some cash.

He thinks about what to do next.

Ben: Well thinking about my skills, I got nothing. Haha. I can join the police. Maybe. Nope. Yeah. I can do what I do back in my universe. Save people as a shape-shifting hero. And ask for money for this job maybe. Haha. Yeah. Hmm. I do have some skills with tech though. But with no degree or anything who will give me a job? Well, maybe my good social skills help as well as my knowledge of advanced tech. Maybe they see my inside talent. Hmm. Let's search.

After searching for a while he got a job in a Samsung showroom by displaying his knowledge and skill, which he secretly boosted using Brainstorm and Greymatter's powers.

He then applied at a restaurant for a part-time job as a waiter and cleaner. He even asked to work for free and just asked for free meals for a few days till he gets some money.

Now the only thing left for him was a place. He searched for a place to rent. He found a decent place for a decent price, and he decided to stay there.

Ben: Hmm. everything is done now. I can finally rest.

From the next day onwards he had a scheduled life. He used to work in the showroom and he got friendly with all the people and customers there. He was also doing good as a waiter. At night he turned into his aliens and fought crime.

Ben: XLR8 is perfect for the job. The criminals don't even see me coming and I'm not seen by anyone. It will be easy. Although I will hit the news but, it's gonna be hard for them to figure out and.. ahem … believe that an alien is doing this, so I'll be good.

He used to go to people's houses to repair their stuff like fridges, TVs, etc. But he used to do that in private as he turns into Upgrade and then fix the thing in seconds. That's what got him famous among the employees. And the boss got happy with him and started to pay him more because of his fast and efficient work and also his friendliness and social skills.

Sunday:

Ben: Let's check the news today.

He opens the TV and switches to the news channel.

"Tony Stark presumed dead after an ambush by the terrorists during a weapons deal in Afghanistan"

Ben: Hmm.

…switch…

"The weather today is.."

…switch…

"Yesterday night another group of thugs was suddenly knocked out and tied by a mysterious force or entity. This is the third this week. Even CCTV cameras are unable to record anything. Only a very blurry blue thing can be seen."

Ben: Yes! Finally. I'm on TV. Feels good.

Next day:

Ben goes to work.

Boss: We got a call from someone named Tina. She needs her TV fixed. Better go there.

Ben: Sure thing.

Ben goes to her house. Rings the bell. A girl opens the door.

Ben: Ma'am you called for the TV.

Tina: Yeah yeah. Come in.
