The cold wind had her hair ruffle and her body shudder under the very thin blanket she had.
Her fingers slowly made a move, and it felt painful for Wyen.
After a deep breath that only came out as a weak sigh, Wyen's eyes flickered open, and she could feel her eyelids sore, desperate for another nap.
But the warmth around her hand that seem to consist of a tight grip was something that seemed to put her off the dizziness.
Her head raised slightly as she tried to get up when someone's grip on their wrist grew tighter, which only made her frown and look down at her hand.
It was held tight by someone.
Someone who had a shining ring on their ring-finger.
A ring that looked too familiar to be someone else's.
A ring that.... Shone unlike hers.
Her eyes slowly blinked as she watched her hand being gripped like that.
It felt strange.
Looking up at him who sat there with his head laying on the bed, Wyen felt so strange.
As if he was someone she never met.
As if she... Never been married to him.
Stranger he is, but her husband he is.
It seemed to hit like a truck to her when she thought of him as that.
As a husband.
Moving slightly, she finally sat up before her hand fell over the back of her neck.
A small whimper that wasn't audible, Wyen closed her eyes.
Feeling the soreness slowly spread, Wyen opened her eyes only for them to fall over her lap.
As her hand slowly fell on her lap, When blinked, taking the features of her body.
Thin wrist, it looked pale and small.
Her eyes averted up towards the source of the cold breeze which was leaving her to shudder.
The window was slightly open with curtains flying away due to how strong the breeze was.
As her eyes fell over the blossoms that bloomed, they lowered.
Looking down at her ring-finger, her lips parted at the sight of it.
It was beautiful and was shining bright like the moon in the cloudy sky.
"-m-mrgh."
She didn't flinch but slightly looked over at him as he groaned making her slowly take in his face features.
His body sounded tired as it moved across the floor while his head adjusted itself on the soft blankets of hers.
A small smile made its way onto her lips as she slowly tilted her head, looking at Jungkook with so much in her eyes.
Her eyes puffed up as she slowly smiled at him, who was sleeping like a a baby in a crib.
Her hand raised and when it did so, it only neared his hair.
Her fingers felt his soft hair locks and her eyes filled with tears as her cheeks warmed up.
It felt nice, feeling him closer.
"M-mhm, Dae-ni...stop."
She paused.
Her smile paused.
His lips curved up into a smile as he nudged his hair away before her eyes took a small blink, letting the pooling up tears fall down her cheeks.
A small raspy exhale, the tears seemed to stop themselves from coming out of her eyes before her heart rate dropped.
It became hard for her breath, and she tried to take an inhale only to realize that it's stuck in her throat.
Her eyes averted away from Jungkook as he snuggled closer to the bed, still deeply asleep.
And her hand.... It pushed itself away.
Clutching the edges of her blanket, Wyen gasped, reaching out for the glass on the table aside but it being far from the bed only left her to take a step off the bed and walk.
Her feet stumbled, weakening with every second she, with bare foot, walked on the cold tiles of the floor.
As she took a grip of the glass that felt so cold against her skin, When closed her eyes before she opened them to only see that it's empty.
Looking down at her feet that turned pale blue, her eyes slowly blinked while she weakly averted them to the door.
A look back at her feet, she once again glanced at the door before a small whimper left her lips and her knees bent, being additionally unsupportive to her already cold and weak body that held onto the table as if it depends on her life.
A hesitant glance at Jungkook, she pressed her lips together and forced herself to stand up and her feet dragged itself out of the room before her trembling hand closed the door slowly, making sure that she didn't make a sound.
Her eyes blinked as she turned around from the door she just closed before her eyes fell over the empty halls of the hospital. A small frown, she looked down at her wrist only to see a hospital bracelet wrapped around it.
You look like a newborn baby with a hospital bracelet. It makes me want to protect you~
The narrator expected a chuckle to leave her lips but nothing echoed in the empty halls as she froze there, staring at the bracelet that only brought back Jungkook's cutely mimicking voice.
Having it echo like it had never ended,
like he hasn't...changed,
It made her suffocated and when she took a deep inhale, it became only harder to exhale it all at once.
A shivering sigh, her chest dropped, and her eyes softly gazed at the floor while she whimpered, dragging her bare foot on the floor while she almost ran, having her fist tighten against her neck where she held onto the scarf that was around her shoulders.
Her eyes blinked as she felt her head spin at how fast she ran down the halls until she heard it.
His heavy breath.
As the wind ruffled her long hair, they only fell on her pale yet beautiful face. As her pink cheeks came in his view, his eyes never got off of them.
His feet taking haste pause, Jimin blinked at sight of her.
She watched him slowly pause in his steps, standing only six feet away before she felt it again.
Her head.
It spinned like the roller coaster that had taken the route back to down from so far and high.
Her feet stumbled and when she tried to move aside, she only slipped, falling right into his arms as he ran towards her at a right time.
Or was it ?
Was it the right time?
Was it, Jimin?
Her eyes took one look into his that gazed into hers ever so softly.
They didn't only hold confusion but something she so long craved for.
He didn't speak. Nor smiled at her. But there it was, the fact that he cared of her in cold.
That he is worried.
There it goes again... she thought as she felt his arms securely pick her up.
"Where is Jungkook? I thought he was with-"
"Why.."
Words leaving her mouth only made his feet that were taking quick steps towards the ward to slow down upon hearing her soft yet breaking voice.
"Why..do you care?"
Her eyes looking straight into his as he stood there with her in his arms.
His eyes never met hers as he felt his body tremble at that question.
"Why doesn't he?"
Her fingers hesitated to tighten its fist over his shoulder as he breathed out, but she didn't react.
Not that she was startled, but she isn't sure if what she heard is right?
"Why doesn't he care, Wyen?"
As he leaned closer at the mention of 'he', her shoulders quivered and the warm tears finally slipped down her cheeks.
"..Jimin?"
