The child sighed as her father went further in the water and he glanced at her as she kept on staring at her reflection, with a few things coming to her mind and his eyes narrowed as he looked at her.
Suddenly, the boat came to a halt and her father took out his fishing equipment and began setting it up and she helped in any way she could and he allowed her as well, though she didn't quite know much.
Her father smiled as she sat beside him, while he was waiting to catch a few fish and she looked at him with a worried expression and he noticed it, but didn't know whether or not, he should ask for about it.
"Father, will you soon?" She asked and his eyes widened then he looked at her as she remembered the news about her mother dying, due to which she lowered her gaze.
"What are you talking about, kiddo?" He asked.
"The others in town are talking about some of their family members leaving, you are the only family member I have," She responded as he stared at her, not knowing what to say.
Her father placed his hand on her head and she glanced at him then he smiled as the cold wind, blew his slightly long and silky light brown hair, mixed with a purple sheen.
"Don't worry, it's going to be just fine, even if I do leave, it won't be for too long, I will return, no matter what got it? You do believe in me, don't you?" He asked as he looked at her.
"Yeah, I do believe you and I understand, as long as you come back safe and sound, I am not going to ask for anything else," She responded and he smiled.
"Thank you, kiddo," He said and she grinned and at the same time, he caught a fish and she flinched as it fell beside her feet and both of them began laughing.
Just then, the girl felt as though something was looking at them and she peeked in the water, when she saw something was moving beside the boat and her father's brows furrowed as he looked around the area they were in.
"Sweetheart, step away from the edge of the boat, please," He said and she looked at him and just when she was about to move, the boat shook, as though something had deliberately hit it.
The girl lost her balance and was about to fall into the water when something began surfacing and her father grabbed onto her with one hand, then pulled out his sword with his other hand.
Something big raised up from the water and without any hesitation, he struck it directly in the middle of its body and blew spewed their way, but her father turned her away, so that it wouldn't catch on her.
"Father, what was that?" She asked as the creature fell back into the water and he exhaled deeply, then patted her on her head.
"Just another wild beast, sweetheart, no need to worry, daddy is right her, he will never let anything happen to you," He responded and she smiled.
"Let's head back, it is not a good idea for us to stay out here, right about now," He said as the thunder crashed and the sky began looking as though, rain was about to fall.
"I know," She replied.
"All right, we should get going before something worse happens," He said and she nodded then he began turning the boat around but just then the rain began pouring down and the water began getting rough.
'Damn it, I have my kid with me, in weather like this, it's never good to be in the water, I am going to keep my child...' He thought but at the same time, the water began pushing them outwards instead of towards the shore and his eyes widened.
"Father, it's dangerous..." She said as she held onto him and picked up a wood to which he chuckled, seeing how she was so small, yet wanted to protect him.
"Yeah, we will protect each other, don't worry, it will be just fine," He replied as night fell and it began getting hard for him to even see.
'My head is hurting, for some reason, but I don't want to worry, father anymore,' She thought before sighing.
Just as the rain began slowing down, something jammed the boat once more and the girl gasped as she was about to fall over but regained her balance and she moved away from the edges.
"Father, something is coming up!" She shouted as a large sea snake rose up in the water and he pulled out his sword.
"Move away from the edges and stay in the center, don't move until I tell you to," He said and she did as he told her to.
Her father's eyes began glowing as well as his blade and just when the creature was about to attack them, he flung himself out of the boat, slashing the creature by its side and it gave off a screeching sound, which could tear someone's ear drums apart and the child covered her ears.
Due to being injured, the creature began moving around in the water, causing it to get rough and her father glanced at the boat.
'Oh no,' Her father thought as he grabbed onto the creature and stabbed it with the blade but due to being in the open, the creature had a clear shot of her father and both of them noticed that.
"No... Don't hurt my father, stop it!" She shouted, capturing the creature's attention.
The girl stared at it with a piercing look in her eyes, as the beast looked at her but wouldn't move an inch and her father's brows furrowed, wondering what was going on, for he felt as though the creature shivered.
A few thoughts came to her father's mind but he knew there was no time to think about anything, he just wanted to protect his child and took the opportunity that was present to him.
Her father pulled his blade to him and then flung himself upwards and the child kept on looking at the creature with pure anger in her eyes and he noticed that.
"Turn away," He said and the creature turned towards him, but it was too late.
By the time it could react, the blade had already sliced through his neck, separating his head from its body and blood began spewing in the air as it fell and her father landed in the boat.
