Adiria's father glanced at her, after landing in the boat and his eyes widened as he looked at the little girl, covered in blood and he didn't like the sight of that and he exhaled deeply and then approached her.
She looked at him when he crouched down before her and a gentle smile appeared on her ace, then she placed her hand on her father's head, patting him and he couldn't help but smile, since she made him feel relaxed.
Despite being happy with his child and her with her father, he knew something was different about the girl, but he didn't care, he was willing to go to any lengths to protect Adiria, for she was the mark, left behind by his wife and at the time, the only thing he really cared about.
"Father, I am fine, let's just go home, I think I am seasick," She said as she began feeling dizzy and his brows furrowed as he looked at her.
'This is not the first time that I have noticed something weird about her, many weird things happened with her before today, many said she is one of a kind but, she is different, in what way though? What is my little girl? Should I be worried?' He thought as he looked at her.
Just then, she passed out into his arms and her brows furrowed as she began seeing things, which included things, she never saw with her own eyes before.
"Don't worry, your father is right here, I will keep you safe, even if it costs me my life, I will not let anyone lay their hand on my daughter, like they did your mother, I am sorry," He said as he hugged her tightly and tears came to his eyes, for he was scared.
A little while after, as the weather cleared up, her father turned the boat around and a few minutes after, he returned to shore and saw that the babysitter as well as a few others, that were working with him, was there, waiting for them.
"Master, you are back!" The babysitter said as she approached them and her eyes widened as she looked at Adiria.
"What happened to her?" She asked.
"She fainted, she is fragile in her own way," He responded as the others took out the fish that he caught, from the boat, when they saw that part of the boat was drenched in blood.
"There is a body in the water, behind the boat, make sure you guys take it out, it will fetch a nice price, I will take her home," He said as he walked away and they looked at the two, with worried expressions.
"Guys, it's a sea snake!" The butler exclaimed.
The others rushed to see if it was true and they gasped as they stared at its body and the babysitter exhaled deeply, for she was not expecting that, but at the same time, given their master's character, it was not too surprising.
As they headed home, a few people within the city, bowed their heads to her father, he was quite popular as a general and was someone that people admired and looked up to, for he always protected the weak and within the area that they lived, he was not considered poor.
"What's wrong with her?" One of his neighbours asked and he looked at the woman.
"She just fainted, she will be fine, don't worry," He responded and the woman nodded.
Her father took her inside of the house, then placed her to lay down on the bed and he gathered water as well as other things to clean off the blood from her body.
"Let me, I will clean her up for you, don't worry, I am sorry, I couldn't stop her from coming after you, when you are concerned, she can't stay put," She said as she bowed her head and he chuckled.
"Relax, I know, you don't have to apologize, I have a meeting with a few others from the army, they will be here tomorrow morning, prepare a few things then, I have to go do a few things," He replied.
"Got it, stay safe," She said as she bowed her head and he smiled and then went to freshen up.
When he was finished, he got dressed and left, while the babysitter took care of Adiria and the others within the home, did their work.
Later that night, as Adiria was lying in her room, her body got slightly cold, as she began seeing mixed things, as though they were from another's memory and some of it was so scary, that she flung up from her sleep, with a scream.
"Adiria, what's wrong?" Her father asked as he rushed up to her room and she exhaled deeply as she sat there, frozen.
"Can you hear me? Snap out of it," He said as he hugged her and her eyes shimmered a little as she grabbed onto his arm.
"Father, it was a bad dream, I am sorry to wake you, again," She replied as she hugged him tightly and he smiled at her.
"Don't worry, I don't mind, go back to sleep, think good thoughts, don't focus on your dream, just pretend like you see nothing, it will help you," He said as he placed her to lay down and she smiled at him.
"Good night," She replied.
"Good night, sweet dreams," He said then kissed her on her forehead and a little while after she fell asleep.
Due to being quite tired, a few minutes after, she slept away, her father ended up falling asleep, right beside her, which sort of helped her to sleep peacefully.
The next morning, when the girl woke up, she stretched off the got out of bed and went downstairs, where she heard a lot of people talking and wondered what was going on in her home.
She saw her father in the living room and was going to greet him, when she noticed that there were a bunch of soldiers in their living room as well and she lowered her head, when she heard what they were talking to her father about and she exhaled deeply then clenched her right fist.
