Watching Nina scamper up the stairs with light steps, Duncan didn't quite grasp what was happening for a moment, simply scratching his hair in confusion, "What is that child giggling about..."
Then he heard Mr. Morris's voice coming from beside the counter, "Honestly, you are quite different from the image I had of you, Mr. Duncan."
"Quite different?" Duncan raised an eyebrow, "What kind of image did you have of me?"
As he spoke, he walked around from behind the counter to hang the "Closed Temporarily" sign at the door, and moved a chair next to the counter—after confirming that the other party was here for a home visit rather than a regular customer, it was clearly no longer appropriate to have him stand.
