Amri was telling Zai about something that happened that afternoon, but Zai was feeling more than a little distant.
"Nn..." She returned a distant sound of acknowledgment.
They were laying in bed together. Still clothed. Zai had Rui's test scores in front of her and Amri was going through reports from her student leaders.
Rui had passed her tests. She did surprisingly well in written comprehension but was at the lower end of the average for everything else. Still, it was enough.
Zai would be keeping her promise and taking Rui with her on the Kota expedition.
She had enough trouble just thinking about how to keep Rui out of trouble...
