He’s cute!

THE NEXT MORNING.

Arianna was sleeping peacefully when her phone went off. She groaned and cursed before picking the phone up, wondering who was disturbing her this early.

"Hello." She answered without looking at the caller ID.

"Arianna Blue Adolphus!!" The caller yelled and the sleep in her eyes wiped off quickly. 'Shit' she cursed before sitting up.

"Good morning mum." She greeted, but her mother scoffed.

"There's nothing good about this morning, Blue. You promised to call when you got there, but I didn't receive it, then I heard on the news that a plane crashed before getting to Orion. I was so scared. I thought it was your plane, baby. But Nickel was able to shift my attention from the news as we awaited your call, but my fear heightened when you didn't call or text, and I tried reaching you, but I couldn't reach you, your phone was switched off." Her Mum explained, already in tears. Arianna smacked her head, she wasn't this forgetful.

Arianna sniffed, wiping the stray tears falling out from her eyes. "I'm sorry, mum, I didn't mean to scare you. Trust me, I totally forgot, I'm so sorry." She apologized.

"It's fine. How are you fairing there? Are you okay?" Her mother bombarded her with questions.

"Sis, I'm missing you already." Nick's loud voice was heard, making Arianna roll her eyes.

"Mum, I'm fine, and I landed safely. I've checked in, and I'm in the school dorm now, and again I'm deeply sorry I didn't call you Mum. I love you." She added, and that was able to calm her mother.

"Sis, what about me, I said I missed you." Arianna could hear nick grumbling as he rolled his eyes.

"I just left yesterday, and you missed me already, tell me Nick, are you a baby?" Nickel sniffed.

"I'm not Aria, and you're so mean."

"Thank you." Arianna mused.

"Blue, take good care of yourself huh, make sure you eat good food, not junks and if you need anything I'm just a call away."

"Yes Mum, I love you too, bye." She hanged up before Nickel could say anything.

She chuckled, thinking of Nickel's pouting face.

"Good morning, Ria." Arianna snaps out of her thoughts when she heard someone's voice.

"Good morning, Kat, you came late last night." She asked, and she wasn't surprised when Katrina got up with nothing but her panties. How she didn't gasp, or blushed, was beyond her.

"Yeah."

Arianna freshened up and went to the kitchen for some breakfast, but couldn't see anything edible, so she decided to make breakfast for the girls.

"What are you doing?" Arianna saw both Zoey and Amaya peering at the pot, they were both dressed up in their expensive clothes like they were heading somewhere.

"Cooking, I'm almost done, so you have to wait for a minute or two." She said, but when she didn't hear anything from them, she turned to see them still staring at her.

"What?"

"You know how to cook?" Amy asked, and she shrugged.

"Gosh you're a lifesaver, there's no need to stand in some long queue to buy takes out again." Amaya said, breathing a sigh of relief, Arianna agreed with them.

****

The girls munched on the food hungrily, moaning every time they took a bite.

"Ari this is amazing." Zoey complimented, then took a giant bite of her chicken.

"I agree on that, your food tastes heavenly. I've already checked that on my list, you're definitely marrying my brother." Kat added, and Arianna almost choked on her food.

"Thanks."

It was really nothing to her, as long as there were good ingredients to make some food then she can prepare any food they wanted.

Katrina looked at Zoey and Amaya, "girls get ready tomorrow is Friday, Matt invited us to his friends' party. After lecture, we're going for shopping."

"Okay."

"Sure." They both replied enthusiastically.

"Ari what about you, are you coming with us?" Zoey asked, and all their attention turned to Arianna, who was still eating.

"I'm not sure, and besides, I don't party." She waved it off.

"As long as you are staying with us, you'll definitely do party." Arianna shoulder dropped but didn't say anything. Katrina saw that she didn't say, "then it's settled, our classes end at 1pm, I guess everyone should be back here before 2pm sounds good, right?" She asked and they all nodded.

After Arianna changed, she was ready for her first class. Zoey closed the door to their dorm before storming down the hallway for their first class today.

With the timetable, she was able to know the first subject she had that morning, which was economics, it has and will always be her best subject. Arianna, back in high school, was considered to be a plain Jane or a nerd, she didn't participate in any school sports or programs, but as long as she could ace her exams she was okay with that.

They got to the hall and Arianna halted, she was wowed by how huge the hall was. It contained more than 300 students, and she was amazed how it could contain them. Since it was her first day, she stopped at the auditorium looking through the bees of students, she was trying to find the perfect seat for her class.

"Arianna, this way." Zoey called out to her, and she nodded shyly before walking towards her.

Zoey picked the third seat in the row, which made her to sigh in relief, at least she wasn't far behind. Two other girls were seating behind them.

"I heard we have a new professor, and he's so cute." One of the girls said.

"Don't tell me you're crushing on him, Evelyn, he's your professor, and he's decades older than you." Another added. Arianna didn't say anything but just listened quietly as the girls gushed over the professor, Zoey was busy on her phone beside her.

The once noisy hall died down when the door opened and the professor stepped in.

He was in his mid-thirties with long black hair which he packed. He wore black slack and a tight-fitting polo, showing his abs and muscles off.

Someone whistles at the back, and the set of girls giggled.

"Told you he's cute."

"Welcome everyone to our economics class, I'm professor Evans." He introduced himself.

He walked to the podium and dropped all his things, not paying any attention to the girls.

"So let's talk about what we'll be doing this semester, but first can anyone tell me the meaning of economics." He asked as he gazed around the hall waiting for someone to answer.

Either no one knew the answer or they were shy like Arianna.

Arianna felt the answer on the top of her tongue but couldn't say anything, she knew the answer but was too scared to answer. She looked around the hall waiting for someone to answer, but when no one did, she found herself raising her hand against her will. But before she could drop it, the professor had already seen her.

The professor's face brightened when he finally saw someone who was answering his question.

"Yes, Let's here what you have to say miss....."

"Arianna." She said, trying to make her voice more clear, so everyone would be able to hear.

"Go on, then."

"Economics can be defined in different ways, but they all mean the same thing, in my definition, Economics is the study of scarcity and its implications for the use of resources, production of goods and services, growth of production and welfare over time, and a great variety of other complex issues of vital concern to society. In other words, it's just basically the study of how things are made, moved around, and used."

"That was good, and I like the last one better, straight to the point. Thank you, Arianna." The professor said with a smile on his face.

Arianna took her seat, breathing heavily, she counsels believed she was able to answer the question in front of about 300 students.

"No wonder Katy called you a wizard." Zoey whispered in my ear, and she gave her a smile.

The class went on for another hour and, thankfully, professor Evans didn't ask any other questions. Arianna thoroughly enjoyed the class. They moved on to their next class, which was accounting, and Arianna also enjoyed the class.

She couldn't wait to grab more knowledge and ace her exams, her scholarship was the only thing keeping her in this school, so she must do everything possible to pass her exams in flying colors.
