Meeting again
"Yeah, the queue was so long that I couldn't feel my legs again." The one with brown skin said, slumping down on the only couch in the room.
That was when the second figure came into Arianna's view.
"Zoey."
"Arianna!" They both called at the same time, one with surprise and the other with relief.
Where Zoey was surprised to see Arianna in her room, and Arianna was relieved that she was finally with someone that she knew, even if it was just a short period of time.
"What are you doing here?" Zoey asked as she walked closer to her.
But before Arianna could reply, Zoey interrupted her, "wait, are you perhaps our new roommate?" She asked.
"Yes." Zoey squealed, pulling her into a hug.
"Woah, that's great. We're now roomies."
Meanwhile, Katrina and the other girl were watching them in fascination, wondering where the two met before.
"Okay, if you're done hugging, can I get something to eat please?" Katrina groaned, but nobody paid attention to her.
The brown skinned girl stepped out.
"Hey Arianna, I'm Amaya, but you can call me Amy."
"Nice to meet you, Amy." They both hugged again, making Katrina groan more.
"Jesus, people, where is the damn food. I'm hungry." She complained, glaring at the three of them.
"Alright, glutton, here's your food." Amaya teased bringing out the bags, she brought the take-outs out, placing the food on the table. They asked Arianna to join them, since the food was more than enough.
After they ate lunch, they got to know each other better, Katrina Jackson, the most bossy one in the group, beautiful and smart, was from a very influential family. Her father was James Jackson, who was a well-known businessman in and out of the country, he owned JACK EMPIRE, which had different businesses under it like, hotel and resorts, casinos and some company which produced different products. Zoey Myers was the mayors' daughter, so she also came from a well-to-do family, same thing with Amaya McKenzie, whose father owns a flourishing company. Arianna felt like the only one left out, she felt bad when she knew she was the only one among them who came from an average family, without a father and also her mother was just the owner of a small flower shop where she sold the flowers she grew in her garden.
"Why are you all staying here in the school dorm, I mean with all your rich parents you could obviously stay on your own like have your apartments." Arianna couldn't help but ask.
They all came from wealthy families, and they were staying in the school dorm, which was something she didn't understand.
"That was the promise we made to one another, you see, when we were young, our parents gave us whatever we wanted, let me just put it this way, we were spoiled rotten. So one day, we decided that we didn't want to be under them anymore, we wanted to stay on our own; do our things. We came up with the idea of entering the university at the same time, getting a boyfriend at the same time, getting married on the same day and also giving birth on the same day." Katrina said, and they all laughed, shaking their heads, as if they were thinking about what their younger self said. Arianna finely help but giggle with them, they were really fun to be with.
"Don't mind us, we wanted to live a normal life for once. Do you know it actually took four months to persuade my father, so he could let me stay here? He finally agreed after knowing that I would be with Amy and Zoey, and also with secret guards that he thinks I don't know about." Katrina grunted.
"Ari, What course are you going for?" Amy asked, but instead Zoey answered.
"We are in the same department." She said, like she had just won a golden lottery.
"And how do you know that?"
Katrina and Amaya waited for Zoey's reply, Zoey acted like she had known Arianna all her life.
"Because we met earlier, I took her to the registrar office." They both 'oh'.
"'Amy and I are studying Medicine, we want to become a surgeon some day." Katrina said, pointing at herself and Amy.
"Ria, wait, I can call you that, right?" Katrina asked and Arianna nodded.
"Alright, Ria where are you from? You haven't said a word about yourself."
"I'm from Niverdale, we are currently staying there, but originally, I'm from Winterfall, that's my dad's homeland, while my mum is from the small town where I came from" They all nodded, but Amy was giving her a curious look.
"Are you an only child?" She asked after staring at her for some time, leaving Arianna puzzled.
"Why are you asking Amy?" Zoey mused.
"Well she got this cute baby's face, blue eyes and in my dictionary only an only child has such features." Arianna chuckled at her words, an only child indeed.
"Nope, I'm not, I have a younger brother who would be Sixteen next month." Zoey's eyes widened.
"Hope he's cute?" She asked, staring at Arianna expectantly like a child waiting for a candy from her mother.
"Yeah he's cute, why?" Zoey rolled her eyes.
"Because I have a sister who is fifteen, and I'm sure they would look good together." Everyone gave her a 'really' look, but she just shrugged.
"What? I'm trying to be a good matchmaker here, as a matter of fact, Arianna and I are now in – laws." She said, confidently entwining her hand with Arianna's and she laughed.
"I hope you know what you're doing." Katrina added, but Zoey paid no mind to her.
"Do you have any picture of him? I really want to see how my brother-in-law looks like."
"I do." Arianna brought her phone out then went through it before handing it to Zoey.
"Goodness gracious, look Katy, he's so fucking cute and Omg he has dimples." Zoey gushes as she passed the phone to Katrina, who couldn't help but agree with her.
"God you guys look like angels, where did you get your beauty from?" Amy asked, and she smiled shyly.
"Obviously from their mum." Zoey showed them Arianna, mum's picture.
"True." "Goddamn, your momma is so hot."
They passed the phone back to Arianna and talked about some other things, Katrina's phone went off.
"Girls, let take a stroll outside." She suggested, but it was met with groans. Arianna dropped her phone and looked at them as they pouted.
"Katy, please don't tell me you are going to see Matt again?" Amy asked and Katrina blushed.
She was caught, she just got a text from her boyfriend Matthew and wanted to go see him, but she couldn't leave without informing her friends or in this case, 'inviting them'.
"You are the one who will meet him, so why do you need us to follow you? Do you want to feed us dog food with all your smooching, kissing and all that?" Zoey complained and Katrina scoffed.
"Talking as if you are the saint, Do you need me to remind you what you did with Jason in this very room and on that bed you're sitting on?" She threw back at Zoey, who shut her mouth but also glared at her.
"Ari don't listen to these girls, they are so shameless." Arianna needed not to be told twice, for she had seen how shameless Katrina was.
"Amy, when are you giving Mason a chance. That guy loves you, and the good thing about it is that he's cute and loaded." Zoey asked, staring at Amaya.
"When he spoils me rotten with gifts and surprises, then maybe I'll consider giving him a chance." Zoey and Katrina snorted.
"Arianna, do you have a boyfriend?" Katrina asked, she got up and walked to the wardrobe searching for something to wear.
It took some time before Arianna could comprehend what she just asked.
"Do you Ari?"
"Why wouldn't she have one? She's beautiful and has a nice body shape, and I'm sure any guy in his right senses would love to date her. I so wish I was a boy." Zoey mused. Arianna laughed awkwardly, tugging her hair behind her ear.
"Actually, I don't have one." She replied lowly and was met with silence.
She blinked. Once. Twice then.....
"WHAAAT!" The three yelled.
"Are boys in your town blind?" Zoey gaped in horror, she shook her head while wondering why a beautiful girl like Arianna didn't have a boyfriend.
"Many did ask me on dates, but I wasn't ready for those things, you know breakup, heartbreak and crying, nah not for me." She shook her head and subconsciously shivered.
She almost added about one stalker who'd vowed to make her life difficult.
"Well that's good, and the best part is that I have an elder brother who is single. I will hook you up with him soon, sister-in-law." Katrina winked at her, walking out of the room and she blushed.
What were these girls with being in-laws with her?
"Gosh, you're so cute." Zoey teased.
They discussed some other things, like how the school is; they also shared ideas on some educational stuffs, and how her scholarship exams went before going to bed.
