CH 018: Taking Care of Jinx

"Jinxy! Babe, I'm back!" Walking into their cave, Slathilia called out loudly. Hearing him, Jinx immediately turned to him :"Toots!" Rushing towards him with stumbling steps, because of the wound on her thigh, before leaping into his embrace. Her worry evident in her voice :"Oh, toots, I was so worried!"

Slathilia :"Haha, baby, worried? You know nothing could've happened to me even if they did everything they could possibly do, right?"

Jinx :"I-I can't help it. Everything was already confusing enough. And when they took you all, I didn't know what to do! I was worried sick about you."

Gently and comfortingly hugging her, he noticed that she probably went through an episode just recently. Probably just before he arrived.

Slathilia :"Are you okay now, my love?"

Jinx :"Yeah, mostly... I think. What happened there?"

"How about we sit down first? Your leg still hurts, so don't push it." Gently lifting her, he sat down on a chair before putting her on his lap :"Let me take a look at that wound." As she nodded, she hissed when she parted her legs. Letting him have a good look at the wound. Looking at the wound that wasn't cleaned, and just sealed up, he sighed. He raised his hand, and brought his tendrils to her wound to help heal it.

Slathilia :"Baby, haven't I told you to be careful when taking care of wounds? You haven't cleaned or treated this cut at all. It could get infected. And also, couldn't you at least take off your pants before sealing it? You've done it over your pants, so your pants are sealed too."

Jinx :"Hisss... couldn't really... focus on it. Was too worried. The... the whispers and taunts were too loud too..."

Slathilia :"Sigh, I see. Don't worry, babe, I'll figure out a way to permanently shut them up."

Jinx :"Hm... so why did you let them take you? I really freaked out there?"

Slathilia :"I wanted to talk to Vi."

Jinx :"V-Vi? What did you talk about? Did... d-did she say why she came here...?"

Slathilia :"She was worried about you, that's for sure. Seems like she really did come here for you. That enforcer seems to be here for the Hextech Gemstone. Vi didn't seem to know about it. They were arguing when I was there."

Jinx, happy :"R-really?! I-is that really what she said?!"

Slathilia, smiling :"Hm, yup. It seems like we misunderstood her. Acted way too fast when that enforcer bitch showed up."

Jinx :"Yeah, sorry about that..."

Slathilia, holding her cheek :"Hey, babe, it's alright. It wasn't your fault. You panicked and didn't have time to sort out the situation."

Jinx :"Hm. S-so what then? Where is Vi now? Is she alright?"

Slathilia :"Yeah, she's good. I don't think Ekko will hurt her. But she's still there."

Jinx :"Why didn't you save her too? You could've come back with her."

Slathilia :"Sigh, can't do that. Things are too complicated right now. She hates Silco for what happened back then, so bringing her here would definitely not be a good idea. Letting her stay there is definitely the best choice for now. She'd definitely start a fight here, and we'd need to force her to calm down. Hahaha you know how she acts before she thinks.

Jinx :"Hahaha, so that hasn't changed about her?"

Slathilia :"No, it hasn't. She was pissed when I told her we're dating."

Jinx :"Really? Why?"

Slathilia :"Oh, you know, she's just protective. Doesn't like to see someone getting handsy and or intimate with her precious baby sister."

Jinx chuckled softly, leaning into him as she grew sad :"Do you... do you think she still loves me? Even after that night? After... after what I've become?" Seeing the tears that were starting to form in her beautiful yet sad eyes, he immediately rubbed her cheek lovingly, calming her down as she cooed :"Of course, Jinx.

You know Vi. She cared about nothing more than you. You weren't there. She sounded so sad and regretful about leaving back then. She definitely loves you just like back then. You're her precious little sister, remember? I'm sure that if it's for you, she'd even be willing to not go against Silco again. That's just how much she loves you."

"Are-are you sure? She loves me that much?" She whispered, growing even sadder as her lips trembled, making his heart squeeze. Hugging her tightly, he comforted :"Of course, my love. If the situation didn't turn out like this out of nowhere, I'm sure she wouldn't stop latching onto you and stop hugging you all day."

"R-really?" She sobbed gently into his chest, hugging him tightly as her tears slowly fell. He nodded with a smile :"Of course. Hahaha, I'm pretty sure we're gonna fight over cuddles with you when we're back together."

"Hahahaha." The bluenette chuckled softly, leaning against his warmth. Mood calmer and head clearer. As she calmed down, she simply sat there. Leaning against him, enjoying the beating of his heart and the loving strokes of his fingers on her back.

Jinx :"Then... what now? What should we do?"

Slathilia :"What do you want to do?"

Jinx :"I... can I meet Vi? Wait, no, you just said I can't for now..."

Slathilia :"Yeah, sorry about that. But don't worry, we'll meet them in a few hours."

Jinx :"Hm. Then... then I want to meet Silco?"

Slathilia :"Hm? Why? Are you mad at him?"

Jinx, annoyed :"Yeah. He lied about Vi and didn't tell me when she showed up."

Slathilia :"Baby, you know as much as I do that Silco did it because he was worried about you. Apparently, Vi was prisoned that night. But we, just like Silco, thought that she abandoned you. Of course he wouldn't want her to get close to you. He's just worried that you'll get hurt."

Jinx :"Hm... I... I get that... but..."

Slathilia :"How about this, you talk to him yourself and listen to his reasoning. You know he's not someone who does something for no reason. I'm sure he has a reason this time as well."

Jinx :"Well... alright, since you said so."

Slathilia, smiling :"Atta girl. Don't worry. As I've said, he cares a lot about both of us. Especially you. You're the apple of our eyes. He was just worried you'd be hurt. Also, don't worry about Vi either. I'm sure that as long as everything between us has been cleared, Vi calms down, clears her head, and listens to what had happened between Silco and Vander, what they were before, I'm sure she'd come to us in due time. She wouldn't have the heart to stay away from you again. And I'm definitely sure Silco wouldn't say no to having such a capable person like Vi among his men."

Jinx :"Hm, alright. Then should we go to Silco now?"

Slathilia :"Not now. For now, you should relax. Your wound has been taken care of, but your mind needs healing too. I also heard from Sevika that the chembarons scheduled an assembly."

Jinx :"Ugh, those greed and asshole pigs?"

Slathilia :"Heh, yeah. I'm planning on going with Silco too. It's time to take care of the pests once and for all so there won't be any annoyances around. We've already made the most use out of them."

Jinx :"Well... alright. Just come back quickly, okay?"

"Of course. I'll take care of things now and in one go so they won't bother us again in the future." He smiled :"Also, here. Why don't you spend time with these while I'm gone?" As she looked with confusion, his tendrils spread out as he took out a bunny doll, the one Jinx received from Vi, and a teddy bear. But it wasn't no normal teddy bear. Not only was it black and red, it's mouth was sewed as if it had a saw for a mouth. It looked like a horror themed teddy bear. And its smile with those teeth made it even creepier.

"Huh? This is Vi's, but what is this one?" She pursed her lips in interest, grabbing the two dolls as he enjoyed her cuteness :"I made this one. It's made entirely out of my biomass. You can think of this teddy bear as me and use it for comfort when I'm not around."

Jinx, smiling widely :"Really?! So this is like a second you?!"

Slathilia :"Technically. So? Do you like it?"

Jinx, hugging the bear :"I love it! It's so soft and smooth too! This will definitely be great to sleep with. Why didn't you make me one before? It's so cute. I'd love to have a part of you with me around."

Slathilia :"Hadn't really thought of it as like this. Glad you're happy though."

Jinx :"Hm, I love it! Now, what should I name him though? Slathilia junior? Nah, too long. Mr fuzzball? Neh, not quite right. Ooh, I know! Mr Sawmouth! Just look at his teeth! He'd be able to tear anyone to shreds with those badass teeth!"

Slathilia :"Hahaha, fine. Whatever you like, baby. Alright, you take care of yourself for now, okay? I'll be back after fixing things."

Jinx :"Okay! Mr Sawmouth, me and bunny will just hang out here!"

Slathilia :"Alright. Try to get some sleep too. Things are gonna get a bit hectic."

As he walked out, he made his way to find Silco. When he saw him with Sevika, seeming to be on the way already, he greeted :"Hey, you two."

Silco :"Thilia? What are you doing here?"

Slathilia :"Heard from Sevika you were going to the sudden assembly of those asshats. I'm tagging along, if that's alright."

Silco :"Sure, but I don't think you're going with as much peace as I am."

Slathilia :"I'm not going with peace or for peace, Silco. I'm out for blood. It's time to take care of the pests."

Silco :"Oh? Why the sudden decision?"

Slathilia :"Not sudden, really. I had planned for this for a long time. You know that too. We were just waiting till their use ran out."

Silco :"Hm, true. And now that they don't have any use, they will simply start being a nuisance."

Slathilia :"They were always a nuisance. Each and every one of those greedy assholes. But they were nuisances with uses. They could be tolerated. Because we needed them. Now, my plans are in motion. We don't need any of them anymore."

Silco :"Oh? What plan?"

Slathilia, smirking :"Heh, don't worry. It's something that you'll love. Something that will change everything. You'll know about it later. But for now, we should get going already."

Silco :"Alright, let's go."

And so, they hit the road.

Slathilia :"She knows."

Silco :"What?"

Slathilia :"Jinx knows. I'm talking about Vi."

Silco :"Sigh... yeah, I already figured with the message she left."

Slathilia :"Yeah, sorry about the mess. Sorry, Sevika. I didn't want to do it like that, but you kinda had it coming after being a bitch like that."

Sevika, scoffing :"Whatever. I'll settle the score with her myself. That didn't have anything to do with you. You were just there."

Slathilia :"Thanks for understanding."

Silco :"How is she? Is Jinx alright?"

Slathilia :"Well, she's at least calm now. Some shits happened after we were done with Sevika."

Silco :"Tell me everything. Don't leave out anything."

As they continued the way, Slathilia explained everything that had happened. Not missing or leaving out anything. If he wanted Silco and Vi to accept each other, or at least not fight, he needed to clear up some misunderstandings. Such as Vi abandoning Jinx back then. For all Silco knew, she really did abandon her. He simply wanted to protect his daughter. That much was obvious with how he wanted to comfort her even as he was dying.

After a while, they finally arrived at the place. As they walked into the elevator, it began to go up. Sending them to the highest floor on the huge building. They could already hear talking behind the door even before Silco pushed it open, interrupting whatever bitch ass Finn was saying :"We aren't due for an assembly."

Slathilia :"So this better be worth it."
