_________ POV Beru_________
How the fuck did I get roped into this?
Now, I was just hanging around gathering information a few hours back. I even killed a villain group for no discernable reason besides me being a cheap stake.
So how exactly did I end up in the middle of what must be the largest villain gathering? Well, it's second only to the massive army that the Meta Liberation Cunts gathered.
Well, the story is rather interesting... Not really, it goes about as you'd expect.
I had just finished leaving the alleyway and warping off. But something rather strange took my fancy.
Before going home, like usual, I warped to a random building to just lay on it and reflect on whatever.
Well, I teleported myself there, only to figure out that I'm somehow above whatever gathering those idiots from earlier were speaking of.
Well, I didn't know about that at first. I just realized that there were a few thousand people dressed in completely innocent-looking outfits(sarcasm). Really, no actual way to tell they're villains(also sarcasm).
Now, I did say I'd leave this for the Next Generation to deal with, but not doing anything about it when it's happening right in front of me isn't exactly heroic.
But I'm also not really a hero by my own standards. To me, only people like All Might and maybe Deku are heroes.
When I say hero, I mean the classic comic book type. Not the actual job it is in this world.
Most people aren't really heroes by classic definition, most just do it for their own reasons. I just got roped into being a hero at some point and just went along with it. It's a good job after all.
As for the villains though, I won't really be stomping them down. I'm too lazy to fart in their general direction and kill/capture them.
I also kind of want to see who managed to actually motivate villains to mobilize while I'm still an active hero. He's got to be some type of charming cult leader type.
I mean, how else would all these people look so eager to commit suicide?
"Tomorrow we show the world! That we, Japanese Villains, aren't anything to joke about!" How the fuck did this become a nationality thing? Also, this will become even more stupid after I start getting into who the guy on stage actually is.
I guess the villains in Japan did become somewhat of a joke worldwide, especially when both I and All Might were active.
Even with him retired, they haven't gone up all that much in terms of recognition. It's genuinely pathetic, at least to some extent.
But I guess the main villain orchestrating this needs to get some way to rally up his troops. And using the shame they feel from being called losers by everybody else works just fine.
The crowd is actually going wild! Shouts and fist bumps in the air, it's almost like they're jerking themselves off.
The person on stage is actually the one that's more interesting to me than the reaction of the crowd though.
It's a familiar face actually. Well, a familiar mask...
What the fuck is Wolfram doing with his life?
I had somewhat forgotten about his assistance, but I do remember him betraying me and all that. I guess I just didn't care enough and forgot about it?
He's wearing his usual villain gear which consists of sports combat gear that his entire squad used to wear, including combat boots, dark pants, and a combat vest.
I am relatively sure that he isn't Japanese. So I guess he's just looking to gain something after causing chaos.
Also, wasn't he supposed to be under house arrest or some shit? Oh, whatever.
I don't see any of his squad around, so I guess he's not going to bother to take any of them out of prison.
I'd hazard a guess that he's likely looking for a way to leave the country quietly.
With most villain businesses going to shit, smuggling himself out of the country would be far too difficult without proper distraction.
But that's just what I assume he's after. Who knows? I'll make sure he doesn't live to see his goals through though.
I wonder if I should just kill him in front of everybody? Is he actually even the leader? I mean, he's certainly not the strongest villain present in the room.
I can see some other people around that look a lot more dangerous than him. Now, looks do tend to deceive, but they also give off the proper vibes.
It's strange that there are so many powerful villains that I knew jack-shit about. So much for being the top hero huh?
I guess being too strong has its issues. After All for One, I became completely uninterested in finding out anything about my enemies, as no one around really qualifies.
Also, a lot of the villains present look young. There's even a small kid somewhere in the crowd, wearing some type of gas mask.
Being young means being less experienced, which is nice. But it also usually means having stronger quirks.
"As most of you probably know, there's only one obstacle in our path." Wolfram clapped his hands together and smiled.
One of the people behind Wolfgram extended his arm and pointed his palm forward. A light formed in front of him, it took the shape of a holographic image of me.
I must say, they really picked a good photo to show, not that there are any bad photo's of me out there.
"Beru, The Ant King..." Heh, seeing the reactions of some of the villains around is rather funny. The younger villains don't seem all that bothered, but the older ones probably know me a lot better...
Some actually almost pulled back when the image appeared, heh.
"The current Nr.1 Hero in Japan, also called the Strongest Hero Alive by the media, both nationally and internationally revered for his absurd strength and heroic acts..."
Damn, for someone that's supposed to be my enemy, he's sure jerking me off quite a bit.
I can see that some of the people in the crowd also have this same opinion. They are shooting him odd looks, but he didn't let them glare at him for long.
"Even with all of that... There's nothing to fear!" Wolfram's smile became really large as he scanned the crowd with his eyes.
"We have the perfect solution to killing him... On numerous occasions, he's shown to be close to quite a few heroes.
We're going to target Shapshiftar(Toga), she's nothing more than a newbie hero, but he's sure to be distracted if we kidnap and hide her somewhere..."
Damn, did they really choose Toga? I don't think she's in much danger... But I'd better take some time to look after her tomorrow.
"We'll be forcing him to standby and watch as the younger heroes get crushed!" Oh, so that's the plan... Well, that's a bit retarded.
But I guess I'll humour them a bit. I did say they are relatively strong, but I'm pretty sure an enraged Bakugo would blow all of them to smithereens in an instant.
I want to see how exactly they plan to defeat the 'younger heroes'. That doesn't mean I'll let them touch Toga though, I'll take care of that personally...
"As for the plan of kidnapping Sha-" Wolfram surely already has a plan, but I should intervene.
"I can do that~," I said with a calm smile. My current form is relatively different from my usual thuggish forms, I look somewhat like a bookworm with glasses and short and disorderly black hair, wearing casual sports garb.
Wolfram instantly looked pissed that I interrupted him. But I didn't allow him to start bitching. I huffed out and spread a blackish mist everywhere in the room.
It quickly spread to the stage, much to the shock of the villains in the room that were already preparing to fight.
I let myself sink into my mist, and appeared right by Wolfram's side.
"I can take care of her, there won't be any issue at all..."I said with a wide/demented smile.
"T-That quirk..." I think some of the people in the crowd recognize this ability.
"Yep... It's one of them rare teleporting quirks. It's rather useful for capturing people... Can't really raise my mist off the ground though..." That's a bunch of bullshit, but they seem to be buying it. So I can't really complain.
"... We'll still have to cooperate, at least to give you the location and some teammates to work with." Wolfram did calm down after I revealed that I have a useful ability, but he's still probably going to try and supervise the operation himself.
"You just need to give me a location. I'll take care of the rest." He looked a bit conflicted, then he sighed and looked at some of his associates.
I could see some of them nodding, which works for me.
"If you're so confident, then sure. She's still a rookie, so she should be much trouble, I trust you don't need any explanation on that one though..." Wolfram probably noticed that I wasn't paying much attention to his words.
I don't have the form of a child, so he shouldn't feel the need to coach me.
"I'll be fine," I said that and walked back into the crowd, all of the black mist retreated into me as I returned to my previous spot.
And just like that, I've got the job of capturing Toga to blackmail myself into inaction! While I wasn't even planning on acting anyway. Imagine that!
Well, it all goes down tomorrow, so I won't have all that long to wait for the upcoming show. I better prepare popcorn though.
