Awakening Remnant

It's my first weekend as a student at Beacon, and I am already busy, not with homework, of course, as that is easy for me to deal with, but with my personal projects. I currently have the fourth person possessed by a Nightmare strapped to a table while unconscious in my lab. After running a few experiments, I safely extracted the Grimm from them and then dumped them back into their dorm room. Seeing the plant-like monster continuously resist my hold as I gripped it in my paws and tried to possess me, but to no avail.

It resisted furiously at first, then it calmed down and went into a dormant state that made it look like an odd seed. Appropriate but irrelevant, I then focused on understanding its abilities and, most importantly, how to control it. Thanks to Salem's memories, I understood how Grimm are constructed, and after a few more experiments, I stored the Nightmare for later use. Since I was at my lab, I went over to Summer Rose and Terra Wulf, both of who would have been Grimm-ified Silver-eyed warriors if not for my earlier confrontation with Salem.

Previously before my journey through the multiverse, it took careful planning and time to restore the two to normal steadily, but now things are different. I focused on my two patients and used both Magic and Divinity to return them to normal and expel the Grimm parts of them. Seeing them both whole and uninjured, I lifted the sleeping spell I had placed on them. I gently woke them through Magic, and they started to wake from their nightmare after so long. The wolf faunus woke up startled and on guard; in another life, he would have become the monstrous Grimm known as the Hound.

" No more, please! I will obey. Just please stop!"

I kept silent as I watched over the two as they figured out their current situation. Summer's reaction is far more subdued as got up, groans, and examines her surrounding with extreme care. After a few moments, they noticed each other, then finally me. They both demanded with guarded expressions.

" Who are you?"

" Where are we?"

I replied calmly and gently as while I had mended their minds to the best of my ability, what they went through was traumatic at best.

" Before a Q&A, how about something solid to eat first, as I am sure the two of you are starving."

Terra's stomach growled in agreement while Summer was still on guard and trying to find an escape route. I had already had my chef bots make a light broth with filling noodles made as overly rich food is a bad idea after a long period of IVs and lack of solid food. After setting their meals in front of them, they were still on guard, so I told them.

" If I wanted to harm you, I would not need to put anything in your food, especially since you have been under my care for the last few years."

" What about her, about Salem?"

The elder rose asked me as the silver-eyed wolf flinched at her name and even started to hyperventilate. I forcibly calmed him with Magic before answering Summer's question.

" Salem is... No longer the biggest issue, and you won't have to worry about her anymore."

Which was true, but not the entire truth, as the Brother Gods have always been the biggest threat to humanity and the faunus's continued existence. I then told them as I held up my paw to stop them from asking more questions.

" Eat first; then we can talk some more later."

I left my lab and went to give them time to themselves to accept that they were healed and no longer at Salem's tender mercies.

Summer Rose watched as the giant snow leopard faunus man left her and the young man who had silver eyes like her. She looked down at her meal as its tantalizing scent woke up her hunger, and she took the first bite. It then hit her harder than she ever expected; she was free, she was alive, and she could go back to her little girls. She could go home. Tears started to flood her eyes, and she could not help but cry in relief and renewed hope.

Terra Wulf wasn't much better; after watching his team die to that maniacal scorpion faunus, being experimented on for who knows how long, and finally being broken to obey Salem, a dam he never knew he had broken. He wolfed down his food ( pun not intended) and felt for the longest time that he was alive. The wolfman's mind was still haunted by what had happened to him, but he would heal eventually, especially since Silva had mended his mind and Summer's in their Magic induced sleep while they were physically healed.

The two silver-eyed warriors ate their first real meal in too long with vigor, and even seconds came soon after. They then looked at one another and said in sync.

" You have silver eyes..."

I think I gave them enough time to organize their thoughts, and hopefully, they will be more stable on a full stomach, especially since I sent seconds. I re-entered my lab to find both of them staring at one another, and I politely coughed to get their attention. With their focus on me, I said.

" Now, with your stomachs full and some time to organize your thoughts, I will answer any questions to the best of my ability."

Terra was the first to ask.

" Who are you?"

" My name is Silva Zelretch Branwen, and yes, before you ask, Summer, I am related to Qrow and Raven. Raven was my adoptive mother when I was still a bandit whelp, but she is my lover now as I pushed for her to change. Again before you ask, I won't go into details as to how that happened, as that is private, plus I also got her to reconnect with her daughter."

Summer looked at me with so many questions and thoughts whirling around her mind. The wolfman then asked another question.

" Are we really safe?"

" Yes, and I will do my utmost to ensure you two can move forward with your lives to the best of my ability."

Terra was still on guard and nervous, not that I blame him; considering what he went through, he needs time more than anything, as I am not a complete miracle worker. The elder Rose asked her first question.

" What about my girls and my husband?"

" Taiyang has moved on since you are dead in his heart and even dating a nice civilian woman as he has sworn off getting together with another Huntress again. Ruby managed to skip two whole years and is attending Beacon in the same year as Yang while being teammates on Team RWBY. As for Yang, I am sorry, but she makes terrible puns despite not being the slightest bit funny."

" Wait, Ruby and Yang, are attending Beacon. That means that... It's been 12 years..."

The realization of how just long she had been trapped hit Summer hard as she processed this information. She then forced herself up as she exclaimed but fell as I caught her.

" I need to see them!"

" You still need rest and rehab. Then there is the psych evaluation to make sure you are mentally well enough to see them with harming them or yourself."

" I would never hurt them!"

I gently sat her down and explained.

" Summer, what you went through is traumatic at best and mind-breaking at worst. Could you forgive yourself if you harmed them unintentionally?"

Summer deflated at my question as complex emotions ran through her silver eyes, and Terra then asked.

" Where are we?"

" In my private lab near Vale under my manor, as hospitals, in general, are not equipped to handle Grimm-ified Sliver-eyed Warriors."

I conjured a small fireball, a bolt of lightning, an ice crystal, a sphere of light, an orb of wind, a ball of water, and a shard of darkness in my hand before saying.

" My unique skill set makes me uniquely qualified to treat you two."

I made my small display of Magic disappear, and Summer asked in confusion as Terra was silent.

" How, I mean, you can't be one of the Maidens, can you?"

" I gained Magic through my own efforts, and not even Salem can match me in terms of pure power."

I spent the rest of the day answering the two's questions until sleep beckoned them as night came.
