They disappeared

"Oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh, I'm in trouble now, big trouble" came a female sounding voice of the strange person who was cloaked in black as she ran as fast as she could, she could not be caught now right now, she had to get out of here now, quickly, she had to get out.

The girl panted as she ran as fast as she could, she could hear those other people right behind her, and she did not want to be caught, luckily for her, she knew this forest like the back of her hand, she needed to rush home, she would be safe there, no one would catch her there.

So the girl quickly took a sharp turn to the right as she ran past the trees swiftly, her feet made a twinkling sound as she ran barefoot on the ground, she was fast, very fast.

"Where did the person go?" asked Ollie as he stopped running as he panted and he caught up to Matt as Maddie was right behind him, panting as well.

"Over there" said Matt as he pointed to the right, he could hear the twinkling of feet as the girl made her way through the forest.

"We need to go over there and corner whoever that person is, they cannot get away" said Matt as he ran, he was not tired at all.

"Gosh Matt" said Maddie as she panted, Matt was already gone.

"Come on" said Ollie as he looked at Maddie.

"I am no athlete" replied Maddie as she panted and Ollie ran to catch up with Matt, in case he needed help.

"I lost them" said the girl to herself as she pulled her hood tightly over her face, as she hid in the branches of a tree, she could not possibly go home now, or else she risk those strangers following her home, oh why did she had to disobey and come out here today? She would be in big trouble for leaving the colony.

The girl kept very quiet as she heard someone running, she made sure to stay very, very quiet as she looked down, and right there she saw a ginger haired boy stop running as he stood in one place he was right below her.

The girl held her breath as she covered her mouth with her right hand, she did not know why, but he felt like the boy below her knew right where she was, the mere thought made her so scared, so scared that she would be caught, and they would kill her, or do something even worse to her.

Matt looked around, he knew that whoever he was looking for was still here, the could hear the erratic heartbeat, which meant that they were scared, Matt could hear the heartbeat from so close that he wondered where the person was, until he looked up into the trees, but he could see no one, the leaves were very thick.

"Hey Matt, did you find that person?" asked Ollie as he finally found Matt.

"No… they disappeared" said Matt as Maddie finally made her way to them as she panted.

"Let's go, it looks like whoever they are, they are gone now" said Matt as he sighed.

"Oh well alright, what a shame" said Ollie as he sighed and Maddie panted, she had not run so much like that in her entire life.

"This way" said Matt as he led the way and Maddie and Ollie followed after him.

The girl in the trees finally stopped holding her breath as she sighed in relief, it would seem that those people whoever they were, were gone now, but she was not stupid, she waited for a few more minutes, until she was sure that they were really gone, and when she was finally sure, she swiftly climbed down from the tall tree.

The girl was about to go her way when suddenly, she felt someone touch her, as she was carried and hung over someone's shoulder as she struggled.

"Hmm, Hmmm" she said as she struggled, but it was like a strong animal was carrying her, but she knew that it was a person.

"I got him" said Matt as he walked to where he had told Ollie and Maddie to wait for him, of course he was not stupid enough to leave just like that, he could hear the heartbeat, and he only waited for her to calm down.

"Oh you have some nerve trying to kill Curtis" said Maddie in anger as she could not see the face of the person as she kept the hood of her cloak tightly on her face.

"Kill??? No I didn't try to kill anybody" said the girl to herself as she knew that these people would not believe her, they would not.

"Come on, let's get back to Annie and Curtis, then we can ask for an explanation" said Matt as he walked ahead as Maddie and Ollie followed after him, they could not wait to get to the bottom of this, who exactly was this person? Wasn't Caligo uninhabited, then why was whoever this person was here??

"Matt, who is that?" asked Annie as she caught sight of Matt as he finally returned, but he was carrying someone across his shoulder.

"The person who shot the arrow at Curtis" said Matt as he removed the girl from his shoulders and he led her stand as he made sure to hold her in place.

"What??" asked Annie in surprise as Curtis stepped forward.

"Who are you?" asked Curtis as he looked at the person in the cloak did not say anything at all, she was thinking, thinking on how she would get out of this mess that she put herself into.

"Are you mute or what?? Who are you?" asked Maddie as she was angry, this person tried to kill Curtis, and yet he or she would not admit to it, it just irked her.

"Answer the question" asked Curtis as he was getting impatient.

"You don't want to talk right?" asked Maddie in annoyance.

"Fine, I will make you talk, you killer" said Maddie as she walked over and she removed the cloak from the girl's head as they were all surprised by who they saw.

It was a girl, and not just any girl, a very pretty one at that, she had long white hair, big brown eyes, and brown skin.

"Oh please, please don't kill me, I beg you" said the girl as she began to plead for her life, she had lost all hope, she knew that she was going to die here in the hand of these people these strangers.

"Oh so now you can talk" said Maddie as she scoffed, the girl was pretty, she could not lie, but she was a pretty killer.

"Oh please I beg you, I beg you, don't kill me" said the girl as she pleaded even more.

"Why did you try to kill Curtis?" asked Ollie as he finally spoke up after watching all this while.

"Kill?? I didn't try to kill anybody, please, I didn't" said the girl as she pleaded and she shook her head, she would never kill anybody, never, she could not even harm a fly.

"Oh shut up" said Maddie.

"Why did you shoot an arrow at him then?" asked Matt.

"An arrow??" asked the girl, yes that was her arrow, but she was not aiming for Curtis, not at all, she got distracted while practicing, and well, she aimed her arrow in the wrong direction.

"Yes an arrow, and don't play dumb, I know that you can understand us" said Maddie.

"Yes, that was my arrow, but I did not aim at him, it was a mistake, please you have to believe me, it was not my intention to hit him" said the girl as she pleaded.

"Then why did you run then? If you are not guilty of what we are accusing you of?" asked Ollie.

"Exactly!" said Maddie as the girl started to plead even more.

"Alright guys, that's enough, stop it" said Annie as Maddie, Matt, Ollie and Curtis all turned to look at her, and so did the girl.

"Maybe she's telling the truth, maybe it was only a mistake" said Annie as the girl looked at her with hope filled eyes, Annie did not know why, but she felt like the girl was telling the truth, she did not look like she could try to kill someone at all.

"Yes, yes, it was a mistake, yes" said the girl as she smiled and she nodded her head, at least someone believed her.

"Don't say that Annie, we were all there when the arrow came straight for Curtis, she tried to kill him" said Maddie as she was not going to let Annie's good nature go to waste on this murderer.

"No Maddie, stop it, all of you stop accusing her" said Annie as she could tell that the girl was scared, and it made her feel bad.

"Matt, let go of her" said Annie as she looked at Matt.

"But Annie…" said Matt as he was cut off.

"But nothing Matt, let her go" said Annie as Matt sighed and he let go of the girl as she bowed down to the ground.

"Oh thank you, thank you" said the girl as she bowed and she paid her respects.

"You don't need to thank me… sorry for the way you were being treated, it was not fair at all" said Annie as the girl looked up to see Annie walking closer to her as she stretched out her hand to help the girl up.

"My name is Annie" said Annie as she smiled and the girl took her hand as she helped her stand up on her two feet.

"What's your name?" asked Annie with a smile.

"Alina" replied the white haired girl with a smile.
