Two days after my little dress incident at the mall, which I must say was one of the most embarrassing days of my life, Jacob pulled into the Wrights' building parking lot in style. By in style, I mean honking at nothing in particular and hence, causing noise pollution.
"Thank you Jacob, but try not to make me deaf in the process of helping."
I made sure that the car was safely parked before making my comment. Especially before I shoot a coy smile at him that would have made him change his mind about helping in the wink of an eye.
"You only said I have to help you." Of course, he had to mimic me by mirroring my smile, "You never said anything about making sure your ears remain intact afterwarafterwardmile dropped at his usual cockiness, "Really? Shouldn't your wits have told you that already?"
"Well…..I am your pretend chauffeur not a make-shift otologist."
