“Our standard commission is fourteen percent.”
“No, personally.”
Tim smiled to himself. “Just personal satisfaction. I’ve signed two actors in the last few years that turned out to be ineffective. My reputation seems to sag a bit right now.” He looked at me. “I’ll be honest with you. I want to be the one who discovered Christine Anthony.”
“I think you’re too late for that. Car discovered me a few months ago.” I grinned at Car.
Tim looked over at her but Car just sat there, her chin on her hand, shaking her head.
“Okay,” she finally said. “Let’s cut this banter. Lay it all out so we can see it.”
Tim pulled some papers out of his briefcase.
“I want to represent Chris.” He turned to me. “I will do my best to find you lucrative jobs. Plain and simple. That’s what it all comes down to.”
