“I’m always worried,” I answered. “That’s my modus operandi.”

“I didn’t know that.” Car exclaimed.

“I try to hide it but it’s always in the back of my mind.”

“What’s your biggest worry?”

I shook my head. I couldn’t tell her that I dreaded losing her. “It doesn’t matter. What’s that saying? The world will spin as it wants, not as we wish.I have to keep reminding myself of that.”

“Will it help if I tell you I still want you?”

My heart skipped a beat. “Immensely,” I answered.

I could feel Car staring at me.

“Have you thought more about what Coulter proposed?”

Tim had said I should get sexy head shots made with my cello.

“I need to talk to Beverly and I need to make sure Wind Star still wants me. Once I get all that settled, I’ll be able to think about the other things that have happened.”

“We can talk about it, too, if you want.”

I nodded.

“Even with all that’s happening, am I still your first priority? I worry, too.”
